Cast of Characters: Blurr, Starscream, Repugnus, 84, Scrapper, 135, Skyshredder

Starscream has posed:
Starscream was assigned to be on defenses today, great, lovely, fun, uuuuuuhg... Why? just Why? He'd roll his optics, but looked out over the battlefield, alite with live combat rounds, scarlet flames and the sound of battle, he'd click his jaw from up-a-top the defenses he was perched on.

"<<Sixshot, Thundercracker, I've got intel that the autobots have deployed Blurr, Repugnus and that uncontrolled beast-femme of theirs on the field, should we take them out, their forces should start to crumble and retreat from the area.">> He'd report as he released the defenses drones onto the field to mark the location of the designated targets.

Sixshot (135) has posed:
<<See the beast, it is the that was in the pits for some time. Blurr will be a nuisance and that glitch can be dealt with later. Best to take out the largest first, don't you agree Air Commander?>>, Sixshot replies as he looks out across the battlefield with his arms crossed.

It doesn't take the sixchanger long to decide as he locks optics on Skyshredder. Quickly protoforming to flight mode he moves as high as he can before diving down. Once his target is in sight he quickly protoforms back to root while attempting to strike the megalodon.

Thundercracker (84) has posed:
Thundercracker, already in tetrajet form and making a beeline for Starscream's location. As his commander lists off the active participants, he seems unfazed by the roster. <<Affirmative, Starscream,>> he notes, <<En route to lay down covering fire.>> The jet spins overhead, listening to Sixshot with thoughts of his own running through his head. He spots the battle unfolding and reasons that an opening strafe with his cannons would be more than sufficient as a starting salvo.

And so, he fall into a dive, opening up with his autocannon as he flies overhead, eventually sweeping back up and moving to gain more altitude.

Scrapper has posed:
Scrapper is sort of ignoring Starscream. At least some of his more Starscream-y-ness, since he is still the commanding officer here. That infamous Constructicon green becomes visible as he leans over the ramparts, but doesn't see either of the Autobots he knows would be a direct threat to the defenses. Blurr is annoying as frag but in an entirely different manner than tearing about the defensiveness of the defenses. And.. Hmm, what's that? Ugly bugger over there, huh. Must be one of the Monsterbots, there's nothing else that could be that hideous. Scrapper hunches back down a bit, trying to get a bead on the beastily Bot with his tracking laser.

Blurr has posed:
Indeed, leading the charge for the Bots today are Blurr, Repugnus, and Skyshredder. Seeing just who is up on those defenses though...these aren't looking like good odds. Still, Blurr easily dodges the drones, and Thundercracker's autocannons as he whizzes toward the Cons' forward base. The first thing he does is let loose with a salvo of EMP missiles at the enemy position, aiming to make it even -harder- for them to hit him!

Repugnus has posed:
Repugnus is struck and flung back. As he rights himself, he grins with such wicked delight as he forces a torrent of corrosive acid from his huge monster mouth! Quite a showing of named Decepticons. No, these are not good odds, but hey, has Repugnus ever cared?

Skyshredder has posed:
The flak is pretty heavy as the big pink and purple shark-former flies toward the defenses. Of course, the flying comes to a halt momentarily as those drones swarm her and stun her for a few moments, just long enough for her to leave a furrow in the ground before she can get back into the air. Sixshot may have damaged her armor, but he also reset her systems! Just in time for Thundercracker's attack to go wide of even the big shark.

Once they finally make it through the initial engagement range she accelerates, charging straight for the defenses. But, rather than just take a huge bite as some might expect, she moves in to scrape herself along the front of it, and microblades all along her exterior take of layers of armor in her wake. "This is turning out to be a good fight already!" she exclaims with a huge sharky grin as she swims off, turning to prepare for another strike.

Starscream has posed:
Starscream ducked behind the defense wall as he saw that mess coming from Blurr! and snickered, only to be /purged/ on by Repugnus and just.. he /screams and tries to brush it off, DISGUSTING! WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THESE BOTS!? BARBARIANS! THE LOT OF THEM!.. Oooh he was going to make them pay for that.

"<<Scrapper! Ensure the autobot's do not breach the defense barrier!>> He'd order, no duh captain obvious... He'd hurl himself over the wall, transforming into his own jet mode to join those out on the field above the bots, getting in position, and changing back with the ignition of his heel thrusters, and letting loose a volley of his cluster bombs!

Scrapper has posed:
Scrapper ducks down, but it doesn't stop some of the acid from splashing over the edge of the ramparts and sizzling down his backside. Hmph. "Just don't think about where that came from... or what part of the body..." he mutters to himself even as he jumps onto the field. He expected Blurr's EMP shenanigans, that's why he locked on on a target beforehand. Dashing across the field, he pulls a rather long and vicious looking bladed spike out in one hand and cackles like you'd expect a mad genius to do. "You are a very peculiar specimen, Monsterbot... How about a little DISECTION!" And gouges with the spike.

Thundercracker (84) has posed:
Thundercracker curses to himself as he misses his entire strafe, turning into audible swearing as his optics are scrambled by Blurr's countershot. He swoops blindly into the air, steadying his flight and slowing himself down a bit as he tries to recover his optics and stability. His jets sputter a bit, and he resists the urge to immediately retaliate. Then comes the acid from Repugnus, and that bit of sensation from his armor being eaten into shifts the Seeker into a more offensive mindset.

<<Fine then. That's how they want to play, then let me respond in turn.>> He cuts his engines and turns before firing them back up, firing with unsteady shots his own Drone Missiles, unable to lock on or even fully ensure he's hitting anything but the ground. But at least this time he's using explosives instead of just energy rounds!

Sixshot (135) has posed:
Sixshot doesn't even look at Repugnus as the acid sizzles across his frame. His optics turn to follow the shark then the speedster, "Heh, always a nuisance. He ponders a bit before quickly protoforming to carrier mode. Sensors scanning the area as missile bays open ontop, "Still better to wipe the field." As he says this missiles are sent into the air before flying out towards all Autobot targets.

Repugnus has posed:
The Monsterbot feels no fear as the Decepticon attacks all but destroy his armor, drain him of energon and damage his internal systems. Just another day for Repugnus. He looks through blurred optics and flicks a thin, metallic tongue over his bulbous optics, "Time for..." he says faintly as he calls upon what energy he has left to light his optics.

...And nothing happens. "Slag it!" the Gremlin hisses. He's been in such situations before, and so he weighs his options.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr was doing perfectly fine until Starscream's cluster bombs knock him off course for a moment, giving Sixshot's missiles the opportunity to hit him more squarely. He is thrown a good distance, but is far from being down for the count. << Ugh, focus the defenses! >> he calls out over the comms. The speedster gets to his feet and pulls out a missile launcher of his own, one he'd managed to acquire recently on one of the orbital stations.

Skyshredder has posed:
Skyshredder is pretty tough, but with all the ordinance that came flying out of the Decepticons and the defenses...she already has three large craters in her sides, most of her plating is already gone, one of her pectoral fins has fallen off, and her actuators are nearly all sluggish to respond. If they respond at all.

But, the order is to press the attack, so the big shark moves in on the defenses once more and takes as big a bite as she can, those metal shark jaws opening wide. She just hopes what remains of their troops will be able to drag her away after!

Scrapper has posed:
"<<I'm crippling the monster's ability to do THAT nasty trick again. Preventive damage mitigating measure.>> Scrapper comms back. He's not about to let Starscream be a wet blanket on his *ahem* field research, second in command or not. "<<Don't worry, the defense statis is on my HUD as well.>>" Little metrics of cybertronian script clicking along in one corner of his vision, even while most of his attention is on his precision gouging of the Monsterbot's energy subsystems. Who says Hook gets to have all the fun with sharp surgical impliments?

The acid is annoying, but hey, he works with Mixmaster, it's not the first time he's been splashed with acid. The Repugnus backs off, and the engineer is immeadiately suspicious... Until nothing happens. "Hah!" The agitator device is twirled in his hand. "Another triumph for Decepticon Science!" A few mental notes on how injector spike weapons work is made, and the effectiveness of the strategy. No energon, no attacks, no damage to the fortification that HE has to clean up later. Win-win. "Who else wants to be an experime--"

The explosion of Blurr's missile against the defenses in the background interrupts him. "--Figures." There's also a shark trying to eat them? Weirder things have happened.

Guess fun time is over, back to work. The device is put away and Scrapper transforms to chug back to the defenses. Because he planned for this. The edge of his shovel catchs one of the large metal plates that were left lying on the ground amongst the other debris, which he lifts up and then pushes into place over the section the Autobots have been trying to breach.

The warriors can keep doing their thing, he'll do his.

Thundercracker (84) has posed:
The acid eating at his armor is driving Thundercracker mad. However, as his systems try to fight off Blurr's previous shot against him, his optics clear up long enough for him to get a view of Repugnus on the ground. And so he falls into a dive, using gravity to increase his momentum before he fires his stuttering engines to life and levels out, immediately pushing himself as hard as he possibly can to rocket straight over the acid-spitter, hoping to use his boom carpet to rock the Autobot and maybe tilt the odds more in the Decepticon's favor.

<<Damn Autobots and their dirty tricks!>> he growls over the radio.

Starscream has posed:
Starscream smirks as he sees his bombs land on their mark, including Blurr! He'd listen to Scrapper and glance back, nodding in approval as the Constructicon does his job, good, rest of this should be an easy to complete with the fire power they had on their side, he does flinch though, feeling the acid eating away at his armor and finish, Uuuuhg! He was going to need a /bath/ after this!

He'd transform into his tetrajet mode and start spreading over the Autobots Once more. "<<Thundercracker, sixshot, let's show these auto-fools what sort of mistake they have made by daring to stand in our way!>>" He'd call to the others as he let loose a set of missiles at the autobots directions.

Sixshot (135) has posed:
Sixshots sensors scan the area watching as Starscream makes his run. Quickly protoforming back to root mode he unsheaths his sword from subspace before charging towards Blurrs position. Focusing on closing the gap he quickly aims to take a stab at the speedster.

Repugnus has posed:
Repugnus's optics crackle to static and go dark. The Monsterbot feels his form blown wide open. The pain doesn't phase him. Not even the thought of the possibility of death. The vile Autobot falls.

Skyshredder has posed:
Skyshredder bites into the wall...and that's the last thing she remembers before another salvo of missiles hits. The Bots and Cons are left with a big beached pink shark laying in front of the walls, energon leaking out and electrical sparks escaping the many big wounds along her body. It takes a number of field medics to pull her back from the front lines. Seems like it is up to Blurr now to either try and take out the wall, or annoy the Cons to the point they just leave.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr curses as he watches his teammates go down. Yeah, he didn't think this was going to go well. It was time to pull out. He was about to do just that, when Sixshot charges at him with a blade. As it lashes out, he twists and sidesteps, the thing ending up connecting with nothing but the air. He smirks at the sixchanger. "All that firepower, but if only you could actually -hit- me enough times to make a dent."

He aims the missile launcher again, but feints a bit, instead pointing it at Scrapper at the last second, while the Constructicon is busy trying to repair some of the damage to the base.

Scrapper has posed:
It was just a quick cover-up to protect the internal systems of the bunker from damage, but it would do the job until it could be properly bolted and welded into place. Did save him a little time in the long run.

It's just as Scrapper is finishing that another missile is launched. This time exploding against the payloader and knocking the Constructicon on his side with the sort of hideous crash you'd expect heavy machinery falling over to make. "Why am I not surprised he's a sore loser..." the engineer mutters. He decides to be spiteful in return (even though that rarely works), and sends a command to the defenses while he's transforming to get back upright.

The main cannon doesn't have the time to charge up fully, but it firing should be a message to get the frag out of here that even Blurr should understand.

Sixshot (135) has posed:
Sixshot would be visibly scowling if his faceplate was off as his optics remain focused on the Speedster. He subspaces the blade and quickly pulls his blasters off their maglocks, "Just keep yapping like a turbofox." Taking aim he quickly fires off twin concussion blasts .

Thundercracker (84) has posed:
Thundercracker silently curses himself for seeming to miss his own attack, feeling no blowback from his pass and being forced into climbing to avoid retaliation. Luckily for the Decepticons, Starscream manages to drop two of the Autobots in a single salvo of missiles, leaving their forces able to focus fully on the last standing bot. His jets push him skyward, before he gets a rather crazy idea. He climbs, then transforms at the peak of his climb and turns to face the ground, drawing his glaive in a quick motion as gravity takes over. His optics flash and sputter still, but he tries to keep focused on his target: the agile Blurr.

He spins into the attack, becoming a tumbling mass of metal even as he prepares to swing down hard on the remaining Autobot, knowing full well he's going to leave himself wide open if he misses.

Starscream has posed:
Starscream grins as he sees his missiles put two of them out of their misery... He'd have to transform back into his root mode as his wing rayguns were /still/ not working, and hover there in the air as he took aim with his infamous Null Ray gun, watching has his troops try to, and fail to hit the blue Blurr.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr sidesteps to avoid the turret, then somersaults a few times to get out of Sixshot's blasts. Then Thundercracker tries to divebomb him, but he saw that coming just in time! He dives out of the way, sliding along the ground as he smirks at the blue seeker. Then Starscream's null ray fires in his direction, but he twists out of the way of that one, too! Laughing, he transforms. "Such a pity, all that ammo and firepower. All that effort, going to waste!" Then he zooms off as the rest of the Autobots make their retreat.

Scrapper has posed:
"Making you leave is hardly wasted effort!" Blurr is too fast to get off another shot at, so Scrapper has to settle on a few spitefuly words in parting instead. "I don't know how the Autobots can stand being in the same room as that mech." Then turns to look up at the cannon turret. "Still need to work on the efficiency of that charge sequence."

Sixshot (135) has posed:
Sixshot shakes his head, "One day he'll be scrap. Need a recharge." No doubt he'll be heading to the Jump Joint or making a crater somewhere later.

Thundercracker (84) has posed:
Another whiff. As Blurr takes off, Thundercracker stands up, staring after the retreating blue Autobot before shaking his head and putting away his glaive. <<Defense successful, returning to base,>> he says into his comms, before leaping into the sky, transforming into his jet form, and blasting off, the scrambling and dampening of his jets finally wearing off as he rockets away from the battle, silently berating himself for wasting so much time and energon on so little payoff.
