Date of Scene: 30 January 2018
Location: Ibex - Central
Synopsis: Blurr and Hyperdrive investigate VinTech just for the sake of a bit of insurance...
Cast of Characters: Blurr, 95, Hyperdrive

Blurr has posed:
Blurr is showing off in one of Ibex's many arenas tonight, with many of those who still esteemed him highly cheering in the stands as he pulls crazy stunt after crazy stunt with graceful versatility that makes the moves look easy. But, that isn't the only reason he's here. He's heard from Intel's contacts in Ibex that some of VinTech's members are still fans of his, having lived in the area all their lives. And, he plans to take advantage of that. Just a little bit of insurance...in a war like this one, can't take too many chances when relying on neutral parties. It won't be that easy, though...which is why Hyperdrive is here. If the cadet is good at anything, it's creating a diversion. So as the exhibition comes to a close, he searches the crowd for mechs he's hoping to cozy up to.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive isn't sure about this. He's already had a couple less than spectacular operations with his fellow autobots. But he was requested so he's going to do his part. He's hoping no one is going to die. But at least it's not swivel counting on him.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Cheering in the crowd are, indeed, some of the members of VinTech. Sadly, none of them include Redux. Or perhaps fortunately, as cozying up to that tiny mech may have been a bit conspicuous. As it is, two particular members are out tonight, not necessarily with each other, and can be spotted in the crowd. One of them even has a helmet ornament madeo to resemble that thing on Blurr's head. Which does make for a conversation piece.
"You know that thing on your head makes you a complete dork. I mean, there's being a fan, and then there's... there's that!" A red and grey mech says, pointing to the other's Blurr accessory.
"Oh come on! I heard you wooping and hollering louder than anyone else on here, making a fool of yourself!" Responds the yellow mech with a bit of a blue accenting.
"I just got into the experience! Everyone was yelling! At least I don't clutter my desk with Blurr action figures!"
"Oh yeah? I've seen you looking up footage of his races on your console - I know you tried to hide it by switching over to the database but come on! DO that on your own time!"

Blurr has posed:
Blurr keeps scanning the crowd for a few moments before he spots the two of them arguing. Aha! There they are. << Targets spotted, engaging now. >> he informs Hyperdrive over the comms.

Zipping deftly through the throng, he is suddenly behind the two of them. "Well, would you look at that." he says with a chuckle in reference to the helmet ornament. "I've seen some pretty amazing fan gear, but -that- is on a whole new level of dedication. Did you make it yourself or buy it from someone?"

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is happily toying around with one of his juggling balls, doing some intricate stuff now and then and melting into the crowd to appear somewhere else. Of course while he's moving about, he's placed a couple of his flashbangs in key spots in case they need to get out of there quick. Luckily they're all on remote detonation rather then him having to throw things.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
It was hard to tell if this little disagreement was about to escalate, or if such an argument were commonplace between the two. But Blurr interrupted before the argument got any further. One of them, the one NOT wearing Blurr merchandise looked irritated and almost as if they were about to wave off Blurr - only to do a double take. Vexation melts away to unabashed surprise. As for the other, also showing some surprise, quickly begins to grin rather foolishly. He then looks around before looking back at Blurr.
"Well, it was a custom order through a guy who works for Memorabilia R Us, but is thinking of starting his own business..." The yellow and blue mech admits. "D-do you like it?"
As for the red mech he just remains completely silent, although by now he's managed to tone down the surprise in his features.

Meanwhile, various other people have more or less not paid too much attention to Hyperdrive, although his fiddling with one of his juggling balls does occasionally get a glance. No one approaches him, though, and he is more or less able to set down his flashbangs in peace.

Blurr has posed:
"I see." Blurr says, nodding. "Yeah, it's great. The detail is just astounding." he compliments, studying it closely for a brief moment. "It's almost exactly like mine." A pause. "So, you mechs live around here? Where do you work? I've been meaning to pay that VinTech place a visit, just to see if they have anything cool in their collection."

<< Once we get to the offices, you create the diversion. Got that? >> They've been over it, but this is just to make sure Hyperdrive doesn't get...distracted.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is still just wandering around but really keeping an eye on everything at the same time. <<You do your part, I've already started mine. Just let me know when to set things off.>> He does look to the sky every now and then as if worried something might come that direction.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
The yellow mech stands a little taller and beams. "Hey Gappy, he's interested in old tech!"
"I told you not to call me that." The other mech responds sourly, stepping away.
"Awe whatever, but would you believe it, Blurr here is - we both volunteer at the head office, you know. Though Gappy sometimes helps out setting up museum displays. We've got an upcoming exhibit I'm sure he'd love to tell you all about, right Gappy? Uh, Gappy?" The yellow mech glances about, realizing that the red mech had waked away. "Naw, don't mind him, he's shy. Probably going to go off somewhere alone and cool off." The yellow mech looks at "Gappy's" retreating form before it disappears from the crowd, waving to him. THe red much in turn flips him a VERY rude hand gesture before leaving. "Really, we're good pals. Oh, I'm Beamer, by the way. We've got a wing in the University where we usually meet and do a lot of the archiving, and our offices are on the 4th floor of Stellar Offices, it's that tall building on Nova West, right by the Bismuth Plaza."

Blurr has posed:
Blurr chuckles, watching 'Gappy' walk away. "Not in the best of moods, eh?" He shakes his head, then listens to Beamer's descriptions. "Well it's very nice to meet you, Beamer. Really, that's pretty cool. I was thinking, maybe you could show me around, get a little exclusive look at some of your plans for upcoming exhibits? I'll even give you a little tip." he offers.

<< Keep a low profile. When I give the signal, follow from a safe distance. >> he informs Hyperdrive.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive smirks to himself and jst goes back to balancing his ball on his hand for the moment. <<So no painting myself like hot rod and running around in matching blurr memorabilia?>>

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Beamer only pauses for a brief moment before he grins such a grin that it seems to stretch the expanse of his face. "You're on! I'd love to! We haven't really even decided which museum to exhibit in, but the plans are flexible and I can tell you all about it at the head office. Warning, though, the offices are very, uh, humble." Beamer tags that last bit on sheepishly, then gestures Blurr to follow him, nearly vibrating with excitement.

Some time later, Beamer has led Blurr up to the forth floor, as promised, to show him the head office. Beamer chatted about some of his favorite races along the way. Presently, Beamer is getting out his ID chip to gain access to the office. "It's after hours so I don't expect anyone to be in, which is a pity, because I bet their optics would pop seeing you walk in. Though... I guess some of them really aren't fans. You know, of racing at all. We actually have a mech that prefers gladiatorial fights but he really creeps me out. Likes running simulation death matches between prominent warriors that would have never met.... ah here we go. Come in." Beamer steps aside, holding the door open.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr enters, listening to Beamer chat with some level of feigned attentiveness. "Yech, those gladiator matches really make me sick." he admits. "Disgusting how people can get enjoyment from watching other people get tortured and killed." He shakes his head.

"I'm sure they'd at least be sort of impressed." he chuckles. "Even if they weren't fans, they'd still have to at least -know- who I am, unless they're not from around here."

Presuming Hyperdrive has followed instructions and followed the pair at a safe distance, the signal is given for the diversion to begin. << Hyperdrive, -now-. >>

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is sitting there playing with his ball when it falls from his hand and rolls under a nearby vehicle. Hyperdrive follows to retrieve it when the hidden flashbangs start to go off and scatter confetti and glitter as well as release loud booms and sparks. He grins to himself wondering how one of these would look going off in Prowl's office.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
What a glorious display! At first it causes outside traffic to all stop and stare with mixes of bemusement, wonder, anxiety, and even some vexation. After all, glitter gets into everything and never comes off. The loud noise causes Beamer to rush to a window and peer out at the billowing confetti cloud and sparks. "Would you look at that!" He remarks, opening the window and sticking his head out for a better view. Which leaves one of the console/desk hybrids unattended.

Blurr has posed:
As soon as Beamer runs to the window, Blurr immediately jets out of the room and sticks the spyware he'd brought on this particular assignment into an important-looking workstation and starts searching for any data that may have been sent to the Decepticons or any communication between VinTech and the enemy. It's a good thing not too many others were around right now. << Um, Hyperdrive you were supposed to set those off -inside- the building somewhere. Well, whatever. Works well enough I guess. >>

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive grins at the delightful mess he's made. And is so glad he used that antistatic spray. Perhaps he should have offered some to Blurr. <<Yeah, I don't look completely out of place in the building. I didn't know if I could make it in and out without being noticed. RIght now...no one is noticing much of anything except the shiney.>> He flicks some of the glitter off of him that has spread to his spot. At least it won't stick.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Beamer lets out a delighted laugh at the display below, not overly concerned about how it might effect public safety. It just looks cool - especially from the safety of the fourth floor. After all, the nefarious glitter probably won't reach him from up there. "Heh, this streets never looked better! Always so humourless and sterile! Ha.... you should really check this out!" Beamer calls to Blurr, waving and beckoning with one hand, while the other remains perched on the windowsill. "Though I guess at the celebrations of you winning back in the day you're used to fanfare and such. But there is glitter EVERYWHERE! Ha ha ha, look at some of those people running so not to ruin their grim and serious paint jobs with a few flecks of fun! Really, everyone just takes themselves so seriously these days!" Beamer prattles on, seeming more than happy to just watch the disruption out in the street.

As for Blurr's search for communications to the Decepticons, there are none at all. The only information he can find is an entry indicating that they were approved for a copy of the Coldrun logs and a small note of when their copy was picked up.

Blurr has posed:
"Hmm." Blurr mutters to himself, taking a moment to examine when the details of the pickup to see if he can learn who did it and when and where, etc. Sure, if that was truly the only information that had been given, then great. But it couldn't have hurt to check.

He chuckles a little at Hyperdrive's message. << Sure, sure. You have a point there. Seems to be working just fine, anyway. This guy's such a scrap brain. Not that I don't appreciate his enthusiasm. >>

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is enjoying the show though he's also making sure he's got a way out of where they're at. << You don't get cocky now either...I'd like to get home with a rather uneventful mission.>>

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
"Well... enough of that. Sorry.." Beamer withdraws from the window, bringing it shut. He then turns to Blurr, a smirk still on his face even as he apologises, "...I was supposed to be telling you about our upcoming exhibit. We will be working on building a to-scale faithful reproduction of that lab that was foud under Harmonex. We've also got a thing on primitive holographic display tech." Beamer tilts his head to the side. "Interested in either of those, or do you have other questions?"

Back outside the sounds of sirens can be heard in the distance. Whilst no one was harmed, this still was a disturbance and there were enough people affronted by a glitter bomb that they called the local law enforcers.

Blurr has posed:
Well, it seems VinTech is clean. At least, thus far. He stands up, discreetly pulling the spyware. "I'd best to be getting going now, but sure, why don't you tell me about this new exhibit and stuff on the way out?" Blurr offers, not wanting to seem -too- suspicious.

<< Don't worry Hyperdrive, I'm on my way out now. We should to be good to go in a few kliks. >>

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive make sure to sprinkle himself with a bit more glitter before he comes out of hiding to stand near the rendevous point. He holds his ball and schools his features to look miserable about the glitter. <<Careful running out...might be a little slippery.>>

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
"Aw..." Beamer looks visibly disappointed when Blurr announces he has to go. "Oh, but of course, you must be very busy. Someone as fast as you has got to be kept pretty busy! It's been so cool - er right, the exhibits. Well, the Coldrun lab had some interesting inventions still in it, but obviously very flawed, though took an interesting approach to..." Beamer yammers on while walking Blurr out of the office. However he does not let himself be so distracted as to not card out and make sure everything is locked up.

Fortunately for Hyperdrive, when the local enforcers arrive, they seem somewhat annoyed upon protoforming and seeing that they were called down about an explosion... when all the damage seems to be purely superficial. Cosmetic even. They do, however, start talking to witnesses about what happened. Hyperdrive isn't given too much of a second look other than to be numbered among those 'negatively impacted' by this act of vandalism. If it can even be called that.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr just kinds of nods and 'uh-huhs' every once and a while, pretending as if he's listening. Then when they're finally out, he pats Beamer on the back. "Well, it's been great meeting ya Beater. Super excited about the new exhibits and everything. Maybe I'll see you again at a museum somewhere?" But then he doesn't even give the guy a chance to answer before hurrying off to rendezvous with Hyperdrive. The mech's appearance garners a chuckle. "Nice."

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive grins a little at Blurr, "Mine will come off as soon as we move. But if I walked out of there with nothin on me, it'd look suspicious. can we go now?"

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
The giddy expression on Beamer's face when he is patted on the back is apparent. He doesn't even seem to notice, or just doesn't mind, when Blurr get's his name wrong. "I'll look for you at the museums!" Beamer calls out after Blurr zips off on him.

Know how no one was paying attention to Hyperdrive before? Well some people are paying attention to Blurr. Although no one really approaches. Some just point and stare. Maybe one or two take pictures. Should be smooth sailing from here on out.
