A Return to Normality
Date of Scene: 05 April 2019
Location: Repair Bay
Synopsis: Starlock and Sky Lynx finally reunite after the events of her capture, and Lynx being sent adrift, the small talk they have, resulting in some sense of Normality returning to Starlock.
Cast of Characters: Sky Lynx, Starlock

Starlock has posed:
Starlock was sitting in the medbay, she sat silent on the medberth she'd been occupying the past couple of solar-cycles, now staring down at a datapad. She'd been fully repaired, paint fixed, glasses lenses changed, and over all /physically/ okay.. Mentally though, was another story, which could easily be told by the ridging that was forming under her optics from lack of recharge, and the scowl painted on his face.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx makes his way into the medbay, patched up, but still rough around the edges. There's only so much quick repairs can do when one smashes through a building, after all. Upon making his way in, he takes a look throught the medbay proper before settling his gaze on Starlock.

There's little said as he ventures to a spot both large enough to suit him, and close enough to converse without shouting across the mebday itself. "I should apologize. I had not intended that course of events to unfold. It's squarely my fault... it's good to see you back, but how are you doing?"

Starlock has posed:
Starlock's finial's twitched up when she heard the other bot, and looked back, and up at him, silent as he spoke but... She'd sit the bad down and make her way from her the medberth and over at him, staring up at him quietly. Eventually her ridges would knit, and her face twist as light started spilling from behind her glasses and she'd hug, (Well the best someone could hug) Sky Lynx.

"..Y-You have nothing to.. t-this wasn't your...I'm glad to hear.. and see, you."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx returns the gesture as best he can, considering size and all. But the sentiment is there and returned in kind. "Takes more than a silly, overly-ambitious spacer to knock me out of the fight for good. And while you might think I don't have anything to apologize for, I still feel I do, and so there it is."

He settles himself down, body and tail alike curling around the spot Starlock's in like some over-protective guard-beast. Well, dragon, really. "But that doesn't quite answer my question, either... How are you doing? Or is it something you'd rather not discuss?"

Starlock has posed:
Starlock found herself burying her faceplate against ihm, soon sitting beside him, finding herself feeling exhausted still. She hadn't said anything, likely in an attempt to strangle her sobs into silence, but eventually, she had found herself able to clear her voice box, and answer, before looking over to the Datapad.

"Making an.. intel report at the request of Prowl so.." Not really like she couldn't talk about it. "..Circuit damage from the electrical shocks have been repaired, damage done by Buzzsaw's blades is properly repaired... Recharge is... still struggling to sync... Spasms have stopped, energon levels have returned to proper levels.. Better.. Physically." She'd mumble before looking back up at him.

"...Emotionally, or mentally.. everything still feels.. numb. I still don't understand a lot of things I did, or why I'm.. I'm feeling things I shouldn't be an.." She'd sigh. "confused."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx nods slowly. "I would say that is normal, as...bad as that sounds. Fully coming to terms with things will likely take a lot of time and...well, just sorting though thoughts and memories and such. I've never had to go through it personally, so I can't speak to the experience directly, I'm afraid. Still, if you need a sounding board, I'm more than willing."

He looks about the medbay. "At the same time...you came out of it. Did the Decepticons get anything other than...frustration and a mad dragon tearing down there walls? If so, then I'd say...you did remarkably well in the circumstance. It might not offer much comfort, but you did well."

Starlock has posed:
She nodded slowly, trying to dry her face plate with her hands, and taking a few vents in attempts to calm down, clearing her voice box once more. "I.. I don't actually know... They didn't want any /specific/ information out of me.. Buzzsaw just.. was Buzzsaw, Vortex, Darkstar and Phantom where obnoxious..."

She stopped to think a moment, sniffling as she tried to recall. "Phantom had asked about what Iacon looked like, which was weird, then tried to ask what the barracks looked like, which he did not get... Soundwave got nothing but fog... I hope... Then came that Skywarp guy, who couldn't do anything because you showed up."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx nods a bit at that. "Well, the offer is there. If you need anything at all, just ask." He settles his head down so he can be more at optic-level with the smaller mech. "And there's no limits on that. If it can be done, I shall do it."

He gives a curt nod. Or, well, as best he can with his chin resting on the ground. "Part of me was worried the pod I'd jettisoned had not been recovered and just left to drift. That would have been a...very difficult thing to track down. Still, not sure if that is worse than what did transpire. Probably not..."

He then chuckles softly. "And I can say...I had a fine time wrecking their prison."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock let out a weak chuckle at his last statement, mostly just nodding along with his words.. She quietly sat there, listing, and lost in her own thoughts as well, but she kept herself close to Lynx, it was a comfort she'd been longing for. She eventually looked up at him, and the damage.

"Where the others able to get you fully patched up..?" She'd finelly ask.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx ehs... "Nothing was critical, so they just patched up what was needed and carried on with the higher priority. I'm fine with that. I don't need everything patched up straight-away. Eventually I'll need some dents knocked out, a racked visor panel replaced, and a few other things, but...as it is, I'm fit enough for duty."

He then frowns a bit. "So don't you worry about a thing, hmm? I'm perfectly able to wait as long as needed for my preferred medic to get herself cared for and up and running. You just worry about you, alright?"

Starlock has posed:
Starlock looked from Sky Lynx, to her hands for a long couple of kilks, as if waiting for something that never came, before curling her fingers into fists and nodded. "I...I can work." She'd take a vent, trying to calm down. "Also I'm you preferred medic...? Why's that?" She'd question, tilting her head up at him. Yes, /why/ her? that was something that plagued her mind a lot of late.

Sky Lynx has posed:
"Well, you know my systems well. You're skilled at what you do and thorough in doing it." He gives a nod. "Also...the company goes a long way. I'm a rather large thing, having someone who is pleasant to converse with is always... well, to be desired, I suppose?"

He gives a shrug, if ever so slight, at that. "I'd say there was also something about you that reminded me of myself long ago. A few dashes of wonderment coupled with hints of curiosity and some sense of carefree merriment... Though, I've probably since lost some of that..."

Starlock has posed:
She'd quirk a ridge as she listened but eventually a smile, a weak one, did find its way onto her face once more. She'd start getting her needed tools over and sterilizing her grame, before starting to get to work on Sky Lynx's wounds. "...I'm glad to hear that.. Sorry if that question was weird, I..." She'd glance up then back down.

"I... have trouble, seeing myself as important, I think everyone is important in their own way, and no life is more valuable than another... Why I'm out on the fields more than any of the other medics... Why should I be holed up in here while everyone else is out fighting, you know?" She'd ask as she worked, keeping her mind off other topics.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx frowns a bit. "Unimportant? You? After I knocked a prison down to get you out?" He scoffs. "Firstly, medical staff are one of the most critical components of our ranks. They keep the bruisers like me up and running when we do silly things like fly through walls." He settles himself down so she can work as best she needs.

"But beyond that...and I think I've mentioned this before, once all of the fighting finally ends, we will need the rebuilders. You're far more important than you know." He thinks a bit. "As for...coming out while the fighting is happening... I won't say 'no'. You know the risks as much as anyone. I will say that if you do, I'll do what I can to keep you safe."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock let out a chuckle at that. "Healthpoint said something similar... I've been trying very hard to say Thank you, instead of putting myself down as not worth saving, it be very rude to put down all the effort and resources you all put into it." she'd smile at him as she worked on one of the dents.

"Hope Hoist is still willing to teach me a bit more about construction where I could actually be a bit more help in that regard... Harmonex's new defenses do look nice." She'd nod. "Need to also learn how to fix broken armor.. Been too much of that going around of late." she'd muse, and look down to Lynx's helm once more.

"..Thank you, I really do appreciate it."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx grins faintly. "Construction... look at you, going all out, aren't you. I, for one, would love to get back to exploration proper. Hopefully with a bit less...scooping up of strange objects." He frowns slightly before a soft chuckle hits him.

"I'm sure Hoist will be more than willing to share what he can, to. Any assistance keeping the defenses running is quite...appreciated, I can imagine." He settles himself down with a soft vent. "And...you're welcome. You're quite worth it."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock let out a soft chuckle as she worked. "Yeah.. I'd not mind some exploration as well.. As awful of a first trip out to space that turned out to be, it was still really pretty..." She'd smile a bit as she worked and thought about it.

"Did you know I'm from Harmonex?" She'd ask. "...I originally wanted to learn to repair the defenses because they kept getting damaged with no one to really repair them, but after you told me that the first time, and once Hammerstrike and I were able to take Harmonex's ruins back from the decepticons, at least for now.. I.." She'd look thoughtful a moment.

"...Seeing the crystals again reminded me of the Crystal gardens that were lost... And how there are so many people willing to destroy then build."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx hmms. "I'll have to .... see if my recording systems captured anything from the nebula I was adrift in. It was...glorious." He sighs softly. "And...I think you'd mentioned being from Harmonex bevore, yes. It's a shame what happened there."

He frowns a bit. "I'm sure, given time, we'll manage to get things stabilized enough that rebuilding can take place. The big question is going to be...when? It won't happen so long as the fighting is going on. There will always be someone willing to topple something to get one over on their foe."

He frowns at that. "And...that's just a shame."

Starlock has posed:
"Yeah... ?And it would take a lot of time... Hoist mentioned how Harmonex alone would take probably deca-cycles to rebuild." She'd nod as she kept working, patting Sky Lynx's armor as she moved to the next dent.

"...Yeah, I.. hope this war doesn't drag on to long in that regard... Makes learning a struggle alone, and applying it even harder." She'd chuckle. "Glad I have something to work forward to though." She'd nod, looking down. "Take some time to rest, Lynx, I'll have you fixed up proper soon."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx thinks a moment. "I don't think everything will be rebuilt the way it was, but that's where those like you can certainly...come through and create something new in its place. Both an homage and something...for the future, yes?" He settles himself down to let her continue working. "I look forward to seeing it."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock smiled softly and nodded. "I'm looking forward to it as well." She felt.. some sort of normality return to her with that, it likely wasn't going to last long, but she was going to savouir it, she also now had some ideas for her sketchbook later, given what old drawing she had saved.
