Cleaning up Praxus
Date of Scene: 08 April 2019
Location: Praxus
Synopsis: Hound, Hyperdrive, and Healthpoint all head out to help in the rebuilding of Praxus's defenses, and cleaning up the place. Starlock also shows up with a clear motive in mind.
Cast of Characters: Hound, Hyperdrive, 108, Starlock

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Even though she is only barely cleared for duty after the encounter with Megatron, Healthpoint has returned to Praxus to help with the rebuilding of the defenses and is tending to any soldiers that were injured but didn't return to base or simply weren't able to return for some reason. Right now she was working on a construction mech that had had a bit of debris fall on him. It wasn't serious, but it was something that needed tending to.

With the area under Autobot control, there are plenty of soldiers and officers who have been assigned to the area.

Hound has posed:
One of the Commanding Officers present is Hound, here to survey the area after the battle laid waste to the city. He walks along, hands clasped behind his back and taking in the scene around him when he spots Healthpoint tending to a patient. The scout makes his way over to her. "Private." He nods to her, then to the construction mech. "Everything in order here?"

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive hovers into the area, at first bringing some needed parts. Looks like courier is also something he can do in a pinch. He glances at the tag on the box. "Pointheal....what a weird name..." He heads toward the medic area to go deliver the package.

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint looks up from patching the builder bot, then smiles. "Yes, sir. As far as I can tell. I am slightly jumpy thinking Megatron will re-appear suddenly, but other than that..." She laughs a bit nervously. She finishes up with the mech about that time and sends him on his way. Just in time for Hyperdrive to arrive! Healthpoint blinks in surprise, then...gives the smaller mech a big hug. "Hyperdrive! It is so good to see you!" she says happily before noticing the box. "What's that?" she asks.

Hound has posed:
Hound smiles in return, glancing around at the mention of Megatron's name before looking back at the medic. "Yeah... well, we've got some other scouts out right now, patrolling, so I expect we'd hear something from them before ol' buckethead made another appearance." He blinks as Hyperdrive appears, then smiles at the other mech. "Hyperdrive! How are you?"

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive smiles faintly as he's hugged. "I'm doin okay....I'm just here ta deliver a package and probably go back ta paintin my room again. Do ya know someone named Pointheal? They have some parts from Ratchet that were ordered ta be rushed over..."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint blinks. "...Pointheal? No, but...it sounds like that could easily be some sort of misspelling of my name. I am not sure how that would happen." She considers a moment. "I am not sure though. You might have to take it back and ask them to verify who is supposed to receive it." she says, then looks to Hound. "What do you think, sir?" she says, then smiles to Hyperdrive again. "I'm sorry I've been gone for a while. I requested a temporary assignment to an outlying clinic after...well...making a fool of myself in front of Optimus himself."

Hound has posed:
"Hmm," Hound considers this, pulling out a datapad and checking a few things. "It looks like there might've been a mistake with the name, yeah. I think Ratchet meant for these items to be sent out here to assist in repairs. If you need the items, Healhtpoint, I'd say use them, and I'll make a note to get some more supplies sent pronto."

Duty done, the scout subspaces his datapad and looks over at the two. "It's good to see ya, Hyperdrive. Seen any turbofoxes lately?" Then he tilts his head at the medic. "What do you mean, making a fool of yourself in front of Optimus?"

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive shrugs, "I'm just here ta deliver the stuff. I don't question what it's fer and all. This was just supposed ta be a quick job ta kill some time." He makes a face. "Did ya request these items?" He offers the inventory list and the package. "If so...then I guess it's yours now. If they complain, just blame me."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint vents softly at Hound's question. "There was a drone attack on Iacon...quite a while back now. I followed Optimus out to face it. But, I was no help at all, and actually hit -myself- with one of my attacks. He had to call in someone else just to pull me out while he faced those drones alone."

She rubs at her arm self-consciously. "I guess I felt like I shouldn't be around if I wasn't able to help, but after being away for a little while I realized I couldn't just give up. I am still a good medic even if my combat skills are questionable. And I can always work to improve." She takes the box and inventory list, then nods. "Yes, these are front line medical supplies. I'll hang on to them. They must be for me. I don't know of any Pointheal."

"So, are you going to help us get the defenses up and running?" she asks Hyperdrive with a smile. "We can always use more hands for something like this."

Hound has posed:
Hound nods to Hyperdrive, a little disappointed he didn't apparently see any more turbofoxes, but there's so little time for wildlife watching during a war, after all. Ah well. He then winces a bit at Healthpoint's story. H

owever, he leans forward to lightly pat her on the shoulder. "Yeah, that wouldn't have made me very happy, either, if I were in your pedes... but I *know* Optimus Prime. We go back aways. He would never judge you on a bad day like that. What *I* can see, and what I bet he could see, was a hard-working Autobot doing all she can to help others and improve herself, and there's really not much more one can ask."

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive sighs, "I don't know where they will have me. I'm either bein run off to far off places because I'm fast and fuel efficient usually or I'm stuck on base. Guess I'll find out when I head back."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint listens to Hound, then smiles lightly. "Oh, I know he wouldn't. But, it wasn't him I was worried about. It was other Autobots and my own abilities. I think I'm better now. I just had to get my mental processes sorted out." she says, then is quiet a moment. "Speaking of my abilities, would you have any advice that might help me improve? I'm not looking to be a lethal weapon on the battlefield, but I would like to at least be able to hold my own against most opponents."

Hyperdrive's sigh and lamenting make her look toward him. "They will have you wherever you can help. And I know you can do good. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. I might be over there with the Decepticons trying to slag all of you."

Hound has posed:
Hound reaches over and pats Hyperdrive as well. "Chin up. Wherever you are is probably where you'll be needed most. That's a good place to be." He straightens again and looks back to Healthpoint, nodding, and then pausing as she asks for advice. The green scout taps a finger under his chin. "Hmm."

Hoo boy. "I... well, hmm. That's a tall order, heh. Without putting a lot of thought into it and studying how you move around on the battlefield, um... I'd say what works for *me*, at least, is keep an optic out for what's goin' on and where the greatest *need* is. Sometimes things slip through the cracks and it can take a sharp optic to spot it. You do that and you fill in that gap, solve that problem, and you can really render some much needed improvements on a battlefield, a work area, really any situation at all."

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive gives the pair a faint smile, "I should go back....maybe if I'm slow enough they'll take me off of this job too. Guess I'll see if they send me back in the mornin ta help or to bring more stuff."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint gives Hyperdrive another hug. "Chin up, okay? If I can recover from feeling like a turbo-roach, you can too." she says, then lets him go. "See you soon!"

Hound offers some sound advice, but that isn't really what Healthpoint is looking for. "I think all I really need is an improvement to my field weapons. But, some training sessions would be helpful as well. I still haven't seen that much action, so being more familiar with my abilities in battle would be nice."

Hound has posed:
Hound smiles as Healthpoint offers Hyperdrive some cheer, then his expression turns serious again as she speaks of training. "Have you spent time in the training rooms? We've got several places to train in, and while they're not quite the real deal, they're an excellent place to gain some circuit memory and explore possible battle tactics. Ask me sometime I'm off duty and I could spar with ya."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint shakes her head. "Not much. The only time I've really spent in there was a combat evaluation for Grimlock. He seemed to find it satisfactory, but...that was when I was in a team. Alone I am not confident I could take out an enemy combatant." She smiles at his offer. "Thank you, sir. I would be happy to face you sometime."

Hound has posed:
"Ohh." Hound looks like he is gaining a new understanding now, "You were in a team but it's just you now? That *can* be difficult to adjust to." He nods enthusiastically and gives the medic a grin. "I look forward to it, then! Maybe we'll both learn something new." He shakes his head in a bemused manner. "I find the one thing that's true is you never stop learning. If you do, you've gone stale. Generally means life will come along and kick you in the aft and get you moving again, heh."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint hesitates a moment at that question. "I...um...yes. My initial squad was basically wiped out. I was one of the only ones to make it out. And that was right out of basic training." she says. If Hound is smart or observant he might think she is holding something back there. "The team in that particular situation was an impromptu team. Grimlock wanted to evaluate a few of us at once." she says.

She smiles in agreement with Hound's theory on learning. "Yes. If you are not progressing, then you are falling behind." she says, then looks around before back at Hound. "So...Starlock said it was you who suggested some cyber-flora in the repair bay. I think it was a good idea. Patients need something to help calm their minds during repairs." she says, smiling gently.

Hound has posed:
Hound's face falls as she mentions how it happened. "I'm... sorry." He studies her, and given that he is an observant sort, he does sense she's holding something back. "There's... something else, isn't there?" he asks quietly.

The rest, though, has him smiling softly, a genuine warmth on his features. "Yeah, it was me," he answers, bringing a hand up to rub the back of his neck before it drops down again. "I'm really glad to hear that. Happy it helped." He looks out across the battlefield and sighs. "We're faced with so much destruction and ugliness. I just thought... sometimes being reminded of the beauty that is still out there, seeing something alive and growing, can bring a bit of joy to a hurting spark. Remind us why we press on."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint looks away as Hound notices there is more. "...I...I'm not really allowed to talk about it." she says, and there is some definite smoldering anger behind that.

She smiles again though as Hound mentions the positive effects of living things. "I sometimes think a few domesticated cyber-foxes or something could do wonders for patients, especially in long recoveries." she says, then follows his gaze. "I know it lifted my spirits a bit, remembering that there is beauty out there. I just wish there was more to be seen in transformers."

Hound has posed:
Hmm. Hound frowns as it becomes clear there's something unpleasant smoldering underneath the surface, and he asks, "... You sure?" Then he has immediate second thoughts about saying that, both hands coming up, palms forward. "I... I just mean, if there's something you need to get off your chassis, I'm all audials. Now or... any other time."

Then he grins, nodding his head. "Yes! Hyperdrive and I actually spotted some not long ago, he helped me help these kits and their mom that were hiding in some old refuse." He seems happy to have met someone who appreciates the wild things as much as he does. "I do, too. Sometimes I feel a bit... alone in trying to remind folks why we don't wanna destory *everything*, you know? There's some, Beachcomber and Seaspray, but... not a lot of others who seem to get it."

Starlock has posed:
There isn't much sound from the near-minibot that comes into the area, she looks here to clean, but the medic isn't hard to miss among the rubble.. She also looks focused, and dead set to getting to a specific spot, a sketchbook under one arm as she nearly runs past the group as she gets closer and closer.

Starlock was headed to where the Helix Gardens once laid.

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint does give a bit of a sharp look at that first 'you sure', but her expression softens quickly as those hands come up. She lets out a heavy sigh and shakes her head. "I have too many strikes with Prowl as it is." she says, and seems intent on leaving it at that.

The implication that even Autobots want to destroy everything makes Healthpoint start, then frown. "...we are supposed to be above that sort of thing. Destroying everything is a Decepticon way of thinking. What is the point of even fighting if we destroy everything in the process? Is survival even worth it then?"

Starlock is almost missed as Healthpoint is caught up in her own reflections and musings. It isn't really until the smaller femme is past them that Healthpoint blinks. "...Starlock?"

Hound has posed:
Hmmm, again. Hound looks concerned as she mentions Prowl, but he doesn't press her, as she seems to not want to talk about it. Other than to say, "Well, my offer still stands. Anytime you need to talk, I'm here. Off the record, if need be." Then she does speak of destroying things. "We /are/ supposed to be above that. We're supposed to be protecting life, not taking it. And no, I don't believe in winning at all costs, some costs are too high." He frowns, looking down at some charred remains. "Though," he adds with a deep sigh, "We really can't afford to lose this fight, either." It's... a quandary, and not easily solved. He then turns to spot the newcomer approaching. "Starlock!"

Starlock has posed:
to likely not menys surprise, the little femme is /fast/ and surprisingly dexterus as she hopes over larger rubble, she was definitely on a mission for something as she didn't actually stop to say hello!

She'd get her way over to where the Gardens where once, looking over the rubble, trying to recall where what used to be were, she'd pull her sketchbook out from under her arm and flip through the pages to find the sketch of the old rubble site she'd done while here previously to help clean and fix the gardens.

she'd move slowly, she'd almost missed it, but she'd find the broken remains of the Crystal First aid had originally repaired. She'd close her sketchbook and slip it away into her subspace one more, and kneel down, and start digging, eventually pulling out a small shard of the once ornamental crystal statues, she'd then use her free hand to pull out another shard from her subspace, it was a shard from the Harmenox crystals, and she put them side by side, trying to compare them.

"Maybe..." she'd look deep in thought, eventually registering someone called out to her. "Ah! Hi!"

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint mmphs as Hound emphasizes that she can come to him. "You don't understand. I *am not allowed* to talk about it." she says, more of that anger bubbling to the surface. "I probably already told you more than I should have." she says, then closes her optics for a few moments and places a hand over her face. She takes a long intake, then lets it out slowly. "But...thank you. For offering." she adds before nodding lightly. "Losing isn't an option. The Decepticons will never stop unless someone stops them. And...even stopping them may not be enough. We have to ensure that the things that led to this war never happen again. That means watching our own leadership as well."

Starlock seems on a mission, so Healthpoint is slow to go after her. "Do you think she wants to be alone?" she wonders aloud to Hound before Starlock greets them. "Oh, I guess not." she says, then makes her way toward the other medic. "Hello there, Starlock." she says with a smile. "What are those?" she asks, motioning to the crystal shards.

Hound has posed:
Hound's frown grows deeper as Healthpoint reveals she *isn't allowed* to talk about it. "...Because of Prowl?" He looks at her, optic ridges furrowing, starting to think maybe he needs to go have a talk with the SiC. "I... see." He crosses his arms, rubbing at his chin. Chain of command is important, and should be followed... and yet why is this medic being troubled so much by this? What's going on? He's caught a scent of trouble, and hounds are know3n for doggedly following such scents to their source. "I'm... going to keep that in mind."

For now, though, he doesn't want to do anything rash. "I agree, Healthpoint." He slowly turns to look around, noting, "I should probably be getting back to my own patrol. Starlock." He nods to her in greeting, his own curiosity about the crystals keeping him rooted in the spot to hear Starlock's answer.

Starlock has posed:
Starlock gave them a smile, then looked back down to the crystals in her hands, her face shifting into a hard frown as she thought long, and hard. "A crystal from my home of Harmonex, and one from the Helix Gardens, the place we're currently in... I was seeing if they were of similar structure and make so that maybe..." She'd look around at the rubble, she was still sat on her knees.

"I could rebuild something here, using some of the broken crystals from Harmonex." She'd finish. "...I was here when we originally lost control of this place to the decepticons, we were in the middle of repairing the gardens and well.. in the fight I was nearly offlined and... Well the gardens where lost." She'd frown, remembering the fire. "I want to rebuild this place." She'd state with a bit of determination, it was what she'd been learning form Hoist, after all, before she started looking over the place once more.

"I wonder if Gearstruck and Mayor Magnambus got out okay.."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint actually looks a little worried as Hound asks about Prowl, "Uh...I...can't talk about it." she says again, then focuses on Starlock. "I wasn't here, but I saw the reports. I wish I could have helped somehow." she says, leaning down to place a hand on Starlock's shoulder. "But, we'll get them all rebuilt one day. Once this pointless war is over."

Healthpoint isn't really familiar with Garstruck or Mayor Magnambus, but if Starlock is concerned they must be worthwhile mechs. "Has there been no word?"

Hound has posed:
Hound nods to Healthpoint, not pressing any further. Then he looks to Starlock and her crystals. "That is a wonderful idea. I need to go on patrol right now, but perhaps later I could assist you in some way. I think rebuilding those gardens would be *exactly* the kind of beauty we ..." he glances to Healthpoint, "..were just discussing is so important to keeping hope in Cybertonians' sparks. It reminds us why we keep doing what we have to do."

He hmms and adds, "I can look up the names if you like, let you know." With a wave of his hand, Hound begins to move away. "Keep up the good work. I'm sure I'll see you both around." With that, he heads off.

Starlock has posed:
"Nothing, I've been keeping my audials open for such." She'd huff. There wasn't really a hint of sadness, more...It more a feeling of commitment. She was /going/ to do it, and no one was going to stop her, no ifs, ands, or buts. She'd look down at the crystals in her hands, and clench her fingers around them and nod.

She'd reach into her subspace, pulling up a silver colored metal cap of sorts, fitting it onto the Harmonex Crystal, then a similar golden colored metal cap, and she fits it to the Helix one, slipping the crystals into her subspace as she started getting right to work with cleaning, despite struggling with the heavier stuff.

"I'd appreciate it Hound!" She'd call "Be safe!" She'd add before looking back at the gardens, some sort of resolve had definitely found its way to her once more. "...Would you be okay if I took a moment to set down and sketch out something Healthpoint? I want to kept this idea for future reference."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint bids Hound goodbye, then looks to Starlock again. She curiously watches Starlock put those crystals into those caps, then blinks She seems a bit confused by the question. "Of course. I'm not sure I'd have any authority to say no." she says, apparently thinking Starlock is going to sketch something involving the crystals and what they might look like when rebuilt. She takes a seat by Starlock to watch. "I didn't know you were an artist." she adds.

Starlock has posed:
Starlock gave something of a grin at that, pulling her sketchbook out, along with a few sketching tools. She'd flip through the pages to the old Sketch of the gardens when they were in.. well, Less ruin then they where now, taking in the image, she'd flip to a blank page, starting to get to work, sketching the garden crystals in their same position, same shapes, and taking some guesses on what they looked like before.

"It's a hobby I took up while I was just a archivist, and librarian in Harmonex... It's.. sorta now grown into something I'm using to maybe come up with ideas for how to rebuild things for the future." She'd nod as in the center of what she's getting down, she draws a memorial like centerpiece, down at the edge of the page she draws out what names on it would look like, Autobot logos beside autobots, decepticon logos beside Autobot ones, and.. Stars for those unaligned, to be etched into what was likely to be crystal, along with with a small excerpt.

"From the ruins of old, we rise up once more."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint watches quietly as Starlock works. "Oh I see. So, you were an archivist. How did you end up becoming a medic?" she asks as she watches. She isn't sure she likes the different logos, and even less sure about the excerpt. "Hmm...it's very nice. But...should we lable which of those lost were with which group, or not in a group at all? We are all Cybertronians. If this is meant to unify, I am not sure the faction designations will be helpful."

She considers that a moment, then hmms. "Although...I suppose it wouldn't make much difference. If those logos were not included, mechs might be concerned that history was being supressed." She pauses again, then lets out a bit of a nervous laugh. "I...I'm sorry. It's very nice. And hopefully by then it wouldn't matter anyway who was with what group."

Starlock has posed:
"...I got tired of standing idly, I was scared, and held myself back for years and years, and the war only got worse and worse, eventually.. I made my choice, and I didn't want to hurt people, so, I decided I'd learn to be a medic to instead heal those hurt." Shed nod as she explained, focused on the page. "After all, if I was going to do something, anything, and make even just /one/ persons life around me better, then that is what mattered, and matters to me, I helped someone..."

"...That is an idea, heh and that is why I included factions because.. Well, I wanted to ensure that people wouldn't think I was erasing, or trying to hide who they joined, and that, /yes/ even Decepticons who were made here, where remembered." She'd nod. "That maybe a better idea though... Just tricky because, well.. Yeah." She'd nod as if that said it all.

"We can only hope, and that's a hope I'm refusing to let go of."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint nods lightly. "I like to think that not all Decepticons are murderous psychomechs. But...I haven't seen much evidence of that so far. Megatron himself said I do not deserve to live simply because I do not understand how the world works."

She nods in agreement about hope. "Maybe instead of a symbol by each one, start it off with a message that says something like 'In remembrance of all those who gave their lives in the war. Autobot, Decepticon, and Neutral. We are all Cybertronian.'?" she offers.

Starlock has posed:
"...I've met a couple." She'd simply state on that note, looking to Healthpoint, and then to her sketchbook and nodded. "That's a good idea, I like it." She'd start erasing the logos, and instead replace theme with stars, and add what Healthpoint had said, to the end of the excerpt.

"I think.. I might make a sketch of something similar for Harmonex." she'd smile softly.

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint smiles happily as her suggestion is accepted. She was quite worried that Starlock might think it was a terrible idea. "That would be nice." she says of the Harmonex idea. "So, is that why you kept those crystal shards? You want to make them part of the new monuments once peace has been achieved?"

Starlock has posed:
"Sort of, I mostly want to see if their similar in make and structure so that perhaps maybe I could take some of the ruined Harmonex crystals to move here, and maybe shape to look like the crystal structures that where here..." She'd look over to where the ruins of the old ones layed.

"I never got the name of the artist who originally made 'em, or if they were a natural formation, but...Well, Lynx's recently told me something that has me a little inspired."

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint nods lightly at that first part. "But, if...er...when the war is over you could rebuild both, right?" she offers. She tilts her head lightly at the mention of Lynx. "And what was that?" she asks, pushing her glasses up.

Starlock has posed:
Starlock nodded, closing her optics, before looking up at Healthpoint and smiled. "Once all of the fighting finally ends, we will need the rebuilders. You're far more important than you know." obviously quoting sky Lynx.

Healthpoint (108) has posed:
Healthpoint listens to that and is quiet for a few moments. "...we definitely will." she agrees, then stands. "Well, I should get back to work. It was nice talking with you." she says, smiling lightly. "I hope I get to see your handiwork one day."

Starlock has posed:
"Me too HP, me too." She state with a nod, having decided to give Healthpoint a nickname much like Hyperdrive, as she finished the sketch, and returned to cleaning.
