Date of Scene: 25 April 2019
Location: Power Base
Synopsis: Quake challenges Hyperdrive and Tap-Out to fight him in the Power Base arena.
Cast of Characters: Brawl, Hyperdrive, Tap-Out, Quake

Quake has posed:
It's the slave quarters beneath the Power Base and Quake has brought home a new guy. Tap-Out has done what he can to protect Hyperdrive and school him in the ways of the arena, but it can only be academic for so long. Soon Quake returns, fixed up from the battle capturing Hyperdrive and looking in surprisingly good spirits. He peers into the pens, flanked by heavily-armed Triggercons.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out jumps up as soon as he hears Quake and does what he can to position himself between Hyperdrive and the Decepticons. "Hey, Quake!" he calls out, moving a bit to the side to try to draw attention away from the new guy without moving too far away to protect him. "You here to get your aft kicked? Because I assume that's why you always have me fight Autobots and neutrals - afraid to face me yourself in the ring."

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive has done his best to keep his head down and not annoy the other contenders. He glances at Tap-out, keeping his voice soft, "I've missed you...but I've tried ta keep....." And then here comes Quake. Oh boy. This is where he wishes that his forcefield was working. At least there's one between him and Quake. A look of horror appears on his face as Tap-out mouths off. He goes to say something but quickly shuts his mouth, figuring this was not the time. Maybe QUake will keep walking and not notice him?

Quake has posed:
Quake smirks, looking more amused than angry at Tap-Out's taunting. "You're beneath me - you an' your friend both. But maybe I'll let you have your shot. I need practice hittin' little fast scraplets like you. Maybe I offer you a deal. Maybe if you beat me, I let onna you go. Maybe. Whataya think? Think you two runts could take me on the practice field?" Quake gives Tap-Out an ugly grin and then slowly slides his deadly gaze towards Hyperdrive.

Tap-Out has posed:
"You're on," Tap-Out replies quickly, without even a glance at Hyperdrive. He strides over to the barred door. "Open up. I'll take you apart and then use your parts to build a wagon to ride home to Iacon."

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive frowns at Tap-out's eagerness. He looks at his friend, trying to figure how the guy he used to know would even have a chance against QUake. He did well last time but only because he had hsi bag of tricks. NOw he doesn't. He tries to school the fear out of his system and find that confidence he used to have when facing the hologram Quake. Maybe they can do this!?

Quake has posed:
Quake chuckles: a deep, gravelly rumble dripping with evil intent. He nods to the Triggercons to open the door. One looks at him before moving. "Do I have to? What if he tries to get loose?"

Quake turns to him and his optics narrow. "That's what your guns are for, nimrod. Now open the door."

The smaller blue Triggercon quakes and fumbles to open the door, while the other Triggercon peers in at Tap-Out. "YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR AFT KICKED NOW!" he bellows.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out takes a step back from the door but keeps his optics on Quake. Very subtly, he shifts into a combat-ready stance - nothing obvious, but something stable in case things go south faster than he'd planned. When the door swings open, however, Tap-Out merely waits to be invited outside. He doesn't even glance at Hyperdrive, trying to keep all of the Decepticons' attention on him.

Brawl has posed:
Outside of the Power Base a large covered truck pulls up - the sort that usually is used to transport prisoners. It pulls up to the back of the Power Base, idling there. Then the doors in the back open and Brawl steps out. In his hand is a chain. He gives it a strong tug and three prisoners all tumble out of the back, each with stasis cuffs, and each connected to each other by chains. Brawl snorts and looks at the three as they try to pick themselves up, anxious to get shuffling alone before Brawl grows impatient. "Hurry up!" Brawl says, balling his fists menacingly.

Once the three have re-learned the cadence of moving without tugging each other off balance, they begin to head inside of the Power Base, with Brawl bringing up the rear watchfully.

It doesn't seem that there's any event ongoing tonight, and thus nothing being broadcasted - but it seems that even more gladiators are being brought in to satisfy the recent hype.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive doesn't move. He's watching everything intently because, well he just doesn't trust the cons anymore than he could throw Blast off's alt mode. He tries to figure if he's supposed to come out or what the deal is. Maybe tapout gets to pick his partner? He doesn't want to abandon his friend, but if there's a better fighter here who has kept his friend alive, maybe that's the mech that should be fighting alongside Tap-out. No matter what, Tap-out leaves first. Does he follow?

Quake has posed:
Quake points at Hyperdrive and then crooks his thumb behind him. "You. Hyperdrive. Didn't think I'd forget your name after what you did, right? Come. Time to test your mettle without your little forcefield." Quake steps back so Tap-Out and Hyperdrive could step out of the slave quarters. For the moment, the door is open and there are only three Decepticons out in the hallway. The Autobots and neutrals can break free! ... but no one moves. Most are too beaten down to try.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out steps out into the hallway, keeping his optics locked up onto Quake.

"Can we go now?" the blue Triggercon whines. "I'm bored."

Quake gives Crankcase a dirty look and then tells Hyperdrive and Tap-Out, "Come with me."

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive steadies himself and then starts to follow Tap-out and Quake. He glares at the bigger mech but doesn't do anything to cause problems for Tap-out. His friend guarded him from the other slaves, now to try and repay the favor. At least he hopes. At least he only has to deal with Quake.

Brawl has posed:
As Quake is bringing prisoners out, it seems Brawl is bringing some in. Brawl pauses, looking at Quake and his entourage. "Hey, don't break 'em TOO bad!" Brawl says in a more jocular tone than is quite appropriate.

Of the three prisoners with him, one, a femme, looks up at Quake, and then Tap-Out, before quickly looking down again. Her faded armour indicates she's not a fresh catch, but prehaps a transfer from another holding location. "Come on, stop gawking." Brawl warns, but he and the three stand aside until Quake, his henchmechs, Hyperdrive, and Tap-Out leave. SPeaking of Hyperdrive, Brawl just scowls at small Autobot.

Tap-Out has posed:
Quake gives Brawl a huge grin when he spots the Combaticon coming in. "Bringing in a new batch? Where are these from?" Quake takes a moment to loom over the faded femme, before glancing back up at Brawl. Quake may fake a public rivalry with Brawl sometimes, but here in front of no one that matters, he's all friendly smiles. "I got my number-one prize here," he waggles his head at Hyperdrive. "I'm going to go beat on him a while before I make him kill his friends." Quake laughs.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out looks over the newly-arrived slaves, assessing them silently. Will he be facing them soon on the battlefield? Killing them? Protecting them? It's hard to say. Right now he's focused in protecting Hyperdrive. Other priorities will have to wait.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is glaring, his fists clenched in anger at not only being captured but of the torment his friend has had to go through. He remembers seeing Barreler's chest atomized. He remembers seeing Tapout dragged away as he was left. And....well if he thinks that sweet little Hyperdrive is going to let Quake just gloat and smack him around, well he's not going down without a fight. No forcefield, no bombs, no tricks, "Let's play...." And with that the small mech throws everything he's got into speed and aims for Quake's joints in the hopes of hitting one of the weaker spots he studied.

Brawl has posed:
The femme tries to avoid looking directly at Quake. She, and the other two prisoners, do not hide their mortification when Quake speaks of making one Autobot kill his friends.

As for Brawl, he just chuckles. "Still brutal as ever, Quake." Brawl remarks as if this were an endearing trait. "As for these, they were transfered from Kolkular. The rebuilding, you know, means..." Whatever Brawl was going to say gets interrupted by Hyperdrive attacking Quake. While it is Brawl's first inclination to pound the trouble maker himself, instead Brawl grabs the nearest prisoner, which happens to be the femme, and points a gun to her head. "Eager to start killing other Autobots already, brat? The fighting don't start til yer in the ring, fragbyte."

Quake has posed:
Quake looks down and just laughs as Hyperdrive tries to jump him in the hallway, and smashes right into one of Quake's recently-replaced knees. Quake waves off the Triggercons before they open up against Hyperdrive in close quarters, which might end in the pre-mature deaths of all the prisoners - and they have more public deaths planned in the works. Instead Quake just reaches down with one of his giant hands and tries to grab Hyperdrive's face. "Now now now. Listen to the nice Combaticon. You don't want to get anyone killed, do you?"

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out looks ready to jump in to defend Hyperdrive... but then Brawl takes a hostage. "Woah woah woah!" he calls out, raising his hands palm-out to promote calm. "No need for killing. Hyperdrive is sorry - he's new. He'll learn. Let's take it out on the field. I'm sure Quake can teach us both a lesson there." His gaze shifts rapidly between Brawl and Quake.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is struggling a bit in Quake's grip. He is being held by his head. But Tapout's words and the plight of the femme makes him stop struggling so much as try and hold on to take some of the strain off his neck.

Brawl has posed:
Brawl arches an optic ridge. Which looks odd on a visor. But he does it. He just stares at Hyperdrive as he ceases his struggle, hesitating before raising his gun, pointing it to the ceiling. He just snorts. "Gonne get these three locked up and signed in." Brawl says in a somewhat irritated voice. He mutters something about mechsitting prisoners while Blast Off gets to go off and be in a real fight as he heads into the Kennel proper to stash the new prisoners.

Quake has posed:
Quake feels Hyperdrive stop struggling but continues to hold him by his face while he waves with his other hand to Brawl after the situation de-escalates. "Thanks for bringing and checking these guys in, Brawl!" he calls back over his shoulder. "If you want, you can beat on a few later to blow off steam!" To demonstrate the fun, Quake reaches up and then tries to slam a fist into Hypderdrive as he stands meekly in Quake's grip.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out jumps as Quake swings a sloppy punch at Hyperdrive but doesn't say anything. He waits for Brawl to leave with the other prisoners and says then, "Shall we take it in the ring?" His tone now is of respect - none of the taunting of earlier. Tap-Out's learned how to ride and slightly manipulate Quake's moods to stay alive.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive yelps as he's clipped by the hit but he's not dumb enough to completely stay still when the mech swung at him. But unfortunately he's still in QUake's grip.

Quake has posed:
"Let's go," Quake grumbles, dragging Hyperdrive by the head into the main ring. The stands are mostly empty, aside from a few custodial staff cleaning from the last bout.

Crankcase looks up at the staff and whines, "Oh, Primus. I used to have to do that job in the Fuel-Spill Section of the Ministry of Energy and Nutrition. You wouldn't BELIEVE some of the messes I had to clean up. One time, ---"

Quake raises the fist of the hand not holding Hyperdrive. "You'll be cleaning up your own spilled energon if you don't shut up right now."

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out follows Quake and Hyperdrive out onto the arena field, as the Triggercons stay behind to guard the exits.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive isn't enjoying being used as a tool for emphesis. He struggles to keep his arms clinging to QUake's hand so that he's just literally dangling by his throat. This isn't comfortable but he also can't break free of Quake's grip like this.

Quake has posed:
Quake lets go of Hyperdrive by throwing him to the ground. He slowly turns until he has both Hyperdrive and Tap-Out in easy view. "OK," he says, looking over his much-smaller opponents. "Come at me. Maybe I'll kill ya right here. But maybe... I'll letcha go."

Tap-Out has posed:
It's an intriguing offer. Tap-Out isn't really dumb or nave enough to believe it, but it's a nice fantasy. As soon as Quake gives him an opening, he takes it. After bracing himself, Tap-Out lunges at Quake, using parkour to bounce up Quake's massive body and attempt to kick him in the head.

Brawl has posed:
After doing all that boring responsible stuff, Brawl comes out to the arean proper. He stands, arms folded as he watches the unofficial fight begin. For now the large green tank mech hangs back and just observes.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive uses tap-out's attack as a cover to come in right after him and goes for Quake's legs, primarily the joints, and going for the junctions that house wiring clusters. Of course normally he'd have a forcefield to protect him from kicks, but now he has to rely on speed.

Brawl has posed:
Brawl's head tilts to one side and his fists ball and relax. He looks very near like he might just lunge into the fight, but then something else seems to get his attention. He mutters something into the radio, and then heads out.

Summary - Brawl entered with three prisoners, and left alone. He also doesn't look like anyone who was there to fight.

Quake has posed:
Quake grunts as Tap-Out climbs up his body and somehow kicks him in his face! Quake shakes it off, balling his massive fist and striking out at the smaller Autobot. "I'm gonna kill one of you and then use your body to pummel the other!" He then cries out as Hyperdrive attacks a sensitive joint at the back of his knee. "Ooh, you're next, little one! I owe you big!" He tries t crush Tap-Out quickly so he can move onto Hyperdrive.

Tap-Out has posed:
    >***BOOM*** Tap-Out is punched to the ground, bouncing once before ending up out of arm's reach. He slowly climbs to his feet, using the back of his hand to wipe energon from his face. "Is that all ya got!" he yells, locking his optics on Quake. "I've gotten rougher caresses from Glyph!" Spotting Hyperdrive in his peripheral vision, Tap-Out makes a run for the other side of Quake, keeping himself well-visible to try to keep Quake's attention on him. As Hyperdrive goes for one knee, Tap-Out goes for the other, although he simply slams his entire small body into Quake's left kneecap.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive snarls as his friend is struck. He turns and tries to track where Tap-out is headed mext before the smaller mech leaps up and tries get enough height to grab onto Quake's back and hit Quake's head with a punch. "What?! Didn't ya like my sticker?"

Quake has posed:
Quake grunts again as Tap-Out slams into his left knee and bounces off slightly. "Oh, this is ridiculous!" he bellows. "I was hoping the two of you together would form a challenge! Maybe I should weld one of yous to the other's shoulders. Maybe make one real warrior from two half-pints like you." As Tap-Out hops back away and Hyperdrive jumps up to thwack him on the head, Quake replies, "I'll stick you - up on a pike outside the Power Base!" He lashes a foot out at Tap-Out while reaching back to try to grab Hyperdrive.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out is kicked back onto his aft, but he hops right back up, ignoring the giant dent in his chest. "You leave him alone!" he calls out as Quake struggles to grapple the Autobot on his back. "Or I'll rip out your optics and show 'em to ya!" With that warning Tap-Out does leap up Superman-style trying to stab the fingertips of both hands into Quake's optics.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive snarls as Quake hits Tap-out again and then totally ignores him. Oh yeah? He raises both fists and tries to bring his fists down together on the larger mech's head. Might as well ring the bell a few times while he's up in the belfry right?

Quake has posed:
Quake arghs as Tap-Out targets his optics and Hyperdrive rings his head like a bell. "I'll run you both down!" Quake roars, transforming and dropping down to tank mode. He revs his engine and rushes the Autobots, trying to run them down and tear them apart with his treads. As Hyperdrive was above and Tap-Out below, poor Tap-Out is closer to feel Quake's wrath.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out is literally run over by Quake's tank mode and disappears beneath Quake's treads. There is a horriblegrinding down, and for a moment, it looks like the Mini-Bot is lost. However, there is a sudden shift, as the miniscule-but-mighty Tap-Out tries to use his leverage to flip Quake over onto his turret, ideally without crushing Hyperdrive. Anything to protect his friend during his first (practice) arena fight!

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is incredibly upset when tap-out disappears. He screams in both fear and anger. "NOOOO!!!" The small autobot jumps off of Quake as he's tosses. Even though he takes some damage doing this, he tries to speed toward the tank's turret and try and hit it hard enough to bend it and screw up any possible shots from the mech if he tries attacking with projectiles. "Tap! Ya okay?!"

Quake has posed:
Quake is flipped onto his turret, his tank barrel sticking inoperably out from the side and his treads turning uselessly in the air. "Oh, that's it!" Quake roars. "I'm going to tear off your limbs and use your stumpy torso as a shield!" Quake rocks in place, trying to get back upright. Then Hyperdrive rams his tank barrel, ruining it before Quake can transform and stand up. "Oh, you punk!" Quake screams. "Forget the match! I'm killing you both!"

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out rolls out from under the tank, making it somehow back to his feet. He immediately looks to Hyperdrive. "Hey, Hyp!" he calls out. "You OK?" Tap-Out leans forward, resting his hands on the top of his knees. He should push the advantage while Quake is still stuck on his back, but he put everything he has into flipping Quake over and just needs a moment to recover. He does, however, give Hyperdrive a thumbs-up as he wrecks Quake's tank barrel. "Nice job, Hyp," Tap-Out breathes.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive grins at Tapout and reaches out to touch his friend and confirm the mech is still okay. "Nice Trenchpress of the tank...." As Tap-out is somewhat tapped out, he moves forward to protect Tap-out if he needs to. He hops up onto the tank and tries to screw with the underbelly that's exposed. Maybe there's some stuff he can damage furthere. Either way, he gets to go tank belly surfing.

Quake has posed:
Quake cries out at Hyperdrive tickles - er, attacks - his delicate underbelly. Finally giving up flipping back onto his treads, Quake transforms and starts thrashing around blindly, lashing out at anyone who is close enough to get in the way of his fists. "I'm going to tear you two apart and then rebuild your pieces into two new, less annoying Autobots!" he screams and threatens in frustration. He pounds the floor of the arena, sending chunks of it up at both Hyperdrive and Tap-Out.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out is knocked up in the air as Quake puts the ground-pounding into groundpounder. He lands roughly, bouncing, and has to half-roll back to his feet. He glances at the exits, sizing up the chances of just making a run for it - but heavily-armed Triggercons are still there, watching his every move. Not wanting to give up, Tap-Out rises to his full (not-very-impressive) height and charges Quake, aiming the horns of his helmet directly at the junction between Quake's legs.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive may not be using energon for forcefields and weapons but he's getting drained by this fight. Won't Quake go down? Tap-out gets hit and he's about to try and protect his friend from being hit some more but Tap-out just rushes in again. So, barring better judgement, Hyperdrive also rushes the mech and leaps up, hand pulled back as he tries to smash the con's face. "So we fight like you want and now ya want us dead...Hope you never live down the memory of my name etched inta yer hide!"

Quake has posed:
Quake howls in pain as he's rammed in the crotch by a headstrong Mini-Bot and then Hyperdrive literally adds insult to injury as he calls back Quake's moment of public humiliation at Hyperdrive's hand. This sends Quake over the edge, and he screams in incoherent rage as he slashes at the Autobots, swinging and tearing blindly at anyone in his way.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out is caught by a stray corner of a wildly thrashing hand, and that alone is enough to knock him back on his aft once more. But one thing can be said about Tap-Out - you can knock him down but getting him to stay down is another thing. Tap-Out actually backs away from Quake as the Decepticon thrashes wildly, until just the right moment when he runs and leaps at him, throwing his entire body across Quake's half-blind face.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is trying to keep the fight going. Tapout is still going so he has to. THe smashing move by the bigger mech is almost devastating. He isn't sure how he gets back to his feet but he's got nothing for speed. Instead he spins and tries to drive an elbow into the Decepticon.

Quake has posed:
Quake is momentarily stunned as Tap-Out just throws himself bodily into Quake's face, bouncing off and rolling away on the ground. As Hyperdrive spins and elbows him hard, Quake seems to just get fed up. "Enough," he says, calming himself quickly. "I'm bored." His hand drops to his hip, and he fast-draws his Double Photon Pistol, which he uses to open fire at close range on both Hyperdrive and Tap-Out.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out is hit badly by the attack, energon running from the blast injury suddenly opened up in his midsection. Holding the wound closed with one hand, Tap-Out sets the tire on his other forearm spinning and then suddenly launches it at Quake's face. It's a last-ditch effort, true, but if he falls, he'll no longer be able to protect Hyperdrive from Quake's wrath.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is...is stuck. Tapout is hurt bad. Quake is pissed. And they aren't going to win. He suddenly stops and kneels to Quake. "Please...don't offline him....It's me yer mad at, it's me whose caused ya so much grief. He's fought hard and done well. Please do not kill him. Take it out on me....Sir.." He dims his optics, knowing that he's probably angering his friend by doing this.

Quake has posed:
Quake shoots Tap-Out but misses Hyperdrive. He shrugs. No matter - and then BONK! He gets hit in the face with a flung tire. "Really? REALLY?" he bellows. "Is that the best you can do? I should kill you now and let your little friend here trade your scraps for energon down below." As Hyperdrive falls on his knees and begs, Quake tracks him with his pistol.

"Don't think I've forgotten about you," Quake informs Hyperdrive. "I've been planning my revenge a long time. I should kill your friend just to make you watch." Finally, however, Quake simply raises his pistol towards the roof of the arena. "Take him back below and have the medics fix him and you back up. Be ready for the next Death Match. You two fought well together here in the arena. I look forward to watching you kill each other." With a hateful smile, Quake sends the Autobots back below.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive waits for the attack that doesn't come. He carefully raises his head and looks toward Tap-out, hoping that he doesn't see anger from his friend.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out nods heavily. They survived -- that's all that matters. Using Hyperdrive's help to get up, Tap-Out struggles back down to the medics below. They lived to fight another day.
