Power Base Blast Part 1
Date of Scene: 29 April 2019
Location: Power Base
Synopsis: A death match takes a turn for the worse and the gladiators rebel.
Cast of Characters: Blast Off, Onslaught, Nightlash, Vortex, Brawl, 95, Hyperdrive, Tap-Out, Quake, Goth

Tap-Out has posed:
It's fight night at the Power Base and the crowd is already riled and screaming for energon. At the apex of it all is Octus, seated on his raised dais. He has drinks in two of his hands while the other four gesture lazily as he makes sly cracks about Megatron's leadership and who hosts the best arena contests. Octus's sycophantic followers laugh at every jape, hanging onto every word as they jostle for favor in the Triumverate court.

The pitch has been prepared for a grueling death match. Racks of vicious melee weapons are arrayed around the ring, giving the combatants several options for gory murder. Spotlights roam about the circle and the crowd before finally focusing on one spot - a round platform slowly descending from the stadium's roof. On the mobile stand is the Triggercon Ruckus. Holding up a microphone to his face, he bellows an announcement across the assembled crowd.

"FEMMMMMMES AND GENTLEMECHS! TONIGHT YOU WILL ENJOY A SPECTACLE UNSEEN ANYWHERE ELSE ON CYBERTRON!" Ruckus hypes, "TWO GROUPS OF AUTOBOTS, EACH COMPOSED OF SURVIVORS CULLED THROUGH BRUTAL COMBAT AGAINST MECH AND BEAST, WILL BATTLE EACH OTHER TO THE DEATH FOR YOUR PERSONAL ENTERTAINMENT!" Ruckus raises his arms and the throng cheer. "MEMBERS OF THE LOSING TEAM WILL BE BUTCHERED FOR PARTS, WHILE THE WINNERS WILL LIVE TO FIGHT AGAIN!" The audience roars with ferocious glee.

"THE RED CONSISTS OF - AW, WHO CARES WHO THEY ARE? THEY'LL SOON BE DEAD ANYWAY! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!" Ruckus gestures and the platform raises up again, carrying him off the field. The domed roof irises open and gates on either side of the arena raise into the walls. On one side are Cambelt, Drivetrain, Hyperdrive, and Kickdown, each with red paint recently splashed over their forms to easily identify their team to the crowd. On the other are Chains, Dashfist, Fendoff, and Tap-Out, marked in blue.

As violent graphics play across the giant viewscreens arrayed over the pitch, the combatants make their way onto the field. Chains pulls a hooked chain off his chest winch, giving Octus a dirty look before turning his attention to this evening's opponents. Unlike many of the fighters, Chains as no trouble killing Autobots, as if it was their fault he's here. Fendoff stalks into the ring, hollow optics witnessing only death. Tap-Out hops out next, flipping and rolling to the nearest weapon rack, from which he selects a bladed staff. He twirls it from hand to hand, expression set and unreadable. The recently-repaired Dashfist slips out last, holding his new arm awkwardly and trying to stay unseen near the back.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex comes in to watch, looking Hyperdrive and that guy he was talking about last night. Taps or something. When he sees them on opposing sides, his rotors flinch a bit, in some sort of anticipation. "Oh Oh oh. Those two.. oh this is gonna be bru..tal." he moves over and sits next to Onslaught, pointing out Hyperdrive first. "That's the one I was questioning last night." He then motions to Tap-Out "And tha'ts his conjux."

Goth has posed:
Goth has wondered in, in his beast-mode for a change! and crossing his arms, he mostly came because he'd been to all these so far, and seriously wondered just how well this would actually play out, he'd raise a brow at Vortex. "What is with you and the usage of conjux of late?" he'd ask as he crossed his arms.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive moves in with his own group. He frowns at what he's hearing. Now he understands why they were seperated. He looks at Cambelt and Kickdown, trying to gauge their reactions. Steadying himself, he looks to the rack of weapons and finds what might have been a bladed staff but it's had the tip broken off. Why do we have all the crappy weapons. It has at least been broken down to more Hyperdrive's size. He checks it's balance and then looks across the field at the blue team. A frown very much etched on his face before he looks up at the crowds cheering and jeering.

Brawl has posed:
"Coming through. Watch it! YOU GOT A PROBLEM?" Brawl bustles and bumps his way over to where Vortex is, not bothering to excuse himself as his large stature doesn't quite fit so well past some of the rows of packed seating. However, after a few threats, most people don't bother to express their indignation as he jostles them or blocks their view.

Brawl plops downon the other side of Vortex, glaring into the crowd. "I wish I was down there..."

Nightlash has posed:
Nightlash is...here, even if no one knows it but the Autobots. Sure, she's been burning fuel, sure, her cloak is yelling about being overclocked and working longer than the factory-recommended-limits, sure, her drone is just as tired as she is... but she's here, still serving as those eyes in the skies and just...watching, waiting, honestly sort of panicked right now, but...hey, she's there, and she's tracking every single mech that enters into the Power Base and absolutely not too pleased about the booming announcements filtering up to where her sensors can capture it.

Onslaught has posed:
Onslaught is out for an evenings' entertainment. "Ahhh, yes, that'll add a bit of pathos to the evening," he says, settling in next to Vortex. "Hello, Brawl, almost didn't notice you. Such a quiet approach you have."

Blast Off has posed:
Blast Off doesn't like this. This is brutal and cruel, something that... well actually the shuttleformer can live with even if he doesn't like it himself, but *pointless* too. He comes in after Vortedx and sits on the other side of Onslaught, hands resting in his lap as he looks down at the arena below, then his teammates. He finds himself worried for Hyperdrive, at least a little bit, but also feeling some sort of weird responsibility to know what happened to the mech, should he have to report the worst case back to Swivel sometime.

He glances over at Goth, then back to Onslaught, Brawl, and Vortex. Leaning in, he says quietly, "This seems so *unnecessarily* ....vulgar. If they want to kill the Autobot prisoners, then kill them. But this?" He gestures to the arena. "This is much pomp and circumstance signifying nothing! Except a betrayal of our standing as the morally *right* side."

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
And standing spread apart on other side are red team. Cambelt is seen clutching a large, crudely fashioned tool of some sort as opposed to a weapon, standing somewhat behind Kickdown. Kickdown's visage is set in stern grimness as he stares across the floor at his 'enemies'. Drivetrain is shifting weight from one foot to the other, adopting a fluid defensive style as he appraises the enemies, and then gives Hyperdrive a small 'what are you looking at?' tilt of the head. They all have their own ways of showing their apprehension as they wait for the signal for the battle to begin.

Which... said signal has begun! And the red team do not waste much time...

..Except for Cambelt. She continues to hang back, clutching her large tool like it will somehow protect her.

While neither Kickdown nor Drivetrain are eager to fight the others, Drivetrain seems the quickest to approach out of the proverbial gate. He's got his sights set on Dashfist - perhaps because of his weakened state, and runs, giving the other team a wide berth to try and gain access to their hind ranks, throwing a small knife at Dashfist's head.

As for Kickdown, he approaches with a plodding but resolved advance. He grabs one of the shoddy, single-use guns allowed in the ring and fires at Chains.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex shrugs at Goth "I dont know. Gets a rise out of people." maybe he really doesn't know what one is. He shakes his head at Brawl. "Its more fun knowing they're all gonna die isnt it? I mean they're Autobots. Its not like they're a challenge." he's sitting with all of his brothers except Swindle so he seems very content today. "Yeah. They didn't ask me to question /any/ of them, Blast Off. The nerve!" he folds his arms, his rotors moving close to his back. "I am offended and violated and.." he looks at his hand. "Dustoff fixed it while I was distracted. Oh, that sly ..." oh yes. His mind is everywhere. He turns back to the fights starting. "There we go. Exciting exciting eh? And no information gained." he makes a raspberry sound.

Goth has posed:
Goth lets out a hmph. "Awfully quick to turn on one other, I was sure they'd be standing there for at least a few breems before someone would have to instigate them." He'd muse, tilting his head as he watched boarderly, squinting his optics.

Brawl has posed:
Brawl gives Onslaught a perplexed look, as the sarcasm went over the larger mech's head. "Uh..." Is the most intelligent response his commander manages to get from him. Brawl then looks back at the fight. "It's starting." He says, pointing out the obvious. Literally. Pointing. His big extended arm and pointiny finger nearly whacks another spectator in the back of the head, but Brawl doesn't care. Blast Off's remarks about moral superiority also get the shuttle a scathing glance from Brawl, almost as if he somewhere, feels that Blast Off is calling /him/ vulgar for participating in the Arena battles. Alas, Brawl lacks the mind to mouth connection and cohesion to put it in words, so Blast Off just gets the stink-eye and a grumble. Brawl then goes back to watching.

"It'd be more exciting if I threw him down into the ring..." Brawl says, vaguely tilting his helm in a direction that could just as easily indicate Goth as it would Blast Off.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive isn't going to be left out of the battle not that he wants to, but someone hasn't seen his fighting on a personal level yet. Dashing forward, though with a noticeable limp, Hyperdrive uses the stick he grabbed to polevault himself with some speed at Tap-out for a rather fierce kick.

Onslaught has posed:
Onslaughts optics flare and dim as he processes Blast Off's commentary on the evening. "It's a deterrent, Blast Off," he says. "It demonstrates the futility of opposing the Decepticons." He chuckles at Vortex. "If they ended up here, Vortex, chances are they didn't know anything worth your effort in finding out." To Brawl: "It'd be more exciting if we were in there with them, but we can't have everything in this life."

Nightlash has posed:
Nightlash slows her overhead pattern, banking a bit more sharply to better utilize the thermals keeping her aloft as she surveys the fight unfolding below... though, only for a moment. The footage shifts, refocuses, and while there might be a few cameras and sensors from her drone focusing on the fight, the rest of her surveillance package starts to look for...anything.

Power lines? Maybe. Other types of...really, there's got to be /something/ that just breaks everything wide open... She zooms in, taking a look at the arena, the walls, the stands, the structure... At this point it's just more of a frantic look that might sort of give the team in the arena itself a chance...

You know, without getting them all killed.

Tap-Out has posed:
Blue Team reacts quickly as Red Team takes the offensive.

Chains grunts as he's shot by Kickdown. In response Chains swings his hooked cable over his head before suddenly releasing it, aiming for Kickdown's optics.

Dashfist hangs back, sliding to the side and trying to stay both out of sight and out of mind of the other combatants. His plan fails immediately, however, as Drivetrain throws a knife at his head, slashing and damaging one of his optics. "Hey!" Dashfist complains. "Don't you have bigger fish to fry?" Rather than retreat further, however, Dashfist moves with surprising swiftness, rushing towards Drivetrain and hopping aside just as he flashes a fist at Drivetrain's face.

Fendoff just charges forward, raising a spiked fist as he does. He stares right through his opponents, as if not really seeing them - and definitely not seeing them as people, especially as former teammates. He smashes his fist at Kickdown, avoiding looking them in the optics.

Finally, Tap-Out moves to the side, swinging his bladed staff as Hyperdrive approaches. Tap-Out is kicked hard, but remains on his feet. He smirks at Hyperdrive, nodding at the effectiveness of Hyperdrive's attack. Looking for an opening, he suddenly lashes out with his staff - striking in such a way to make a lot of noise as it hits armor, but not do any actual damage.

Meanwhile, Quake watches silently from off to the side of the crowd, arms folded across his broad chest. He studies the combatants carefully, optics narrowed, watching how they move and fight. Preparing...

Blast Off has posed:
Blast Off stares right back at Brawl as if DARING him to TRY throwing him, especially with Onslaught right there. He huffs, then turns back to the others. "Well, even interrogation would make more sense than *this*," he responds to Vortex, then quiets as Onslaught speaks. "Oh." His righteous protests fall silent and he looks down. "I see. Yes, I suppose that's true." Whether he really believes that or not, he seems ready to let it drop for now. He just watches as the proceedings take place with a carefully neutral expression.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex nods "Yeah, you're probably right." he says, actually.. placated by Onslaught. "Well at least this'll be quick. They wont last long." he leans against Onslaught and quietly watches.

Onslaught has posed:
Onslaught stiffens as if he's just recieved a message. His optics fl"are almost white with irritation and annoyance. "Drat!" he says, punching his seat's armrest. "I cannot believe this!" he huffs as he moves to stand. "My apologies, gentlemen, but I have just recieved an alert that that null-signal Sum-If dares to believe he's found an error in one of *my* reports. Jumped up little glitch, I simply must go and straighten this out. I will join you later." With that he stands and prepares to stride purposelyy off to defend the honor of his spreadsheets! Like a boss.

Goth has posed:
Goth looked over at Brawl, still squinting and pointed a claw at him. "Don't... Touch me." he'd huff, it wasn't threatening, but it got the point a cross, he was NOT about to be thrown by Brawl.. AGAIN. Before he looks back to the fight, bringing his arms up to his chassis once more, crossed.

"No, they will not, if they wanted entertaining, they failed and just went for bordarly pitiful."

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Cambelt continues to hang back, but she seems to be watching the crowd very closely, occasionally looking up at Octus. She moves her way around the outer ring of the Arena, optics searching for and falling on Quake. She says nothing as she seems to be getting herself into position for something.

Drivetrain twirls out of the way of Dashfist, laughing. "Too slow." He looks straight at Dashfist, then glances meaningfully at Tap-out. He looks almost like he might say something more, but instead kicks at Dashfist's legs.

Kickdown is wrapped in that menacing chain, leaving him wide open for Fendoff's attack. Kickdown grunts, looking down, also avoiding optic contact with any of the others. Reacting by feel alone, he tries to grab a hold of the chain and yank Chains towards both of them, attempting to maneuver him into Fendoff.

As for power supplies, the Power Base seems to run on its own power. There is a block structure with fences and signs warning people from approaching nearby. Might be a tempting but VERY DANGEROUS target.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive YELPS as he's struck by Tap-out and quickly whirls with the broken staff, planting one side into the ground and using his foot to keep it from shifting and trying to launch Tap-out by hitting the mech in the midsection with the other side and yanking back for all he's worth. "Slagger!" Dark optics flash with the rush of the battle.

Brawl has posed:
Brawl tilts his head as Onslaught already has to go. "But..." But Brawl doesn't say anything more. He just shrugs his massive shoulders, leaning forward to watch the fighting. Goth momentarily gets his attention and he scowls at the mech. "I touch who I want, when I want." Nonetheless, Brawl does tuck in his arm a bit, resting his hands on his lap as he continues to watch, occasionally hollering. It's unclear if he is rooting for any particular team or just wants to see energon on the floor.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out allows himself to be thrown by Hyperdrive's attack towards the still-open north gate. Landing with a roll, he keeps moving, yelling, "Autobots - NOW!" Hopping back up to his feet, Tap-Out races for the guarded gates. When he gets close enough, he uses his staff to pole-vault onto one of the guards, trying to take him out quickly before he even knows what's happening.

Chains looks confused - obviously not in on whatever Tap-Out has planned. He slams into Fendoff, but looks no worse for wear because of it. He yanks his hook back, trying to tear into Kickdown's face. When he realizes the Autobots are making a break for it, however, he drops his chain and raises his hands. "I'm not part of this!" he calls out to the guards. "I'm not one of them!"

Dashfist misses Drivetrain with his fast punch, and gets his legs kicked out from under him for his efforts. This means he's on the ground when Tap-Out gives the signal. Rather than getting up, Dashfist transforms into his cybertruck mode, heading for the north gate at well. He hurries, but not TOO much. He doesn't want to lead the attack, but nor does he want to lag behind. He tries to stay in the middle of the pack.

Something glimmers in Fendoff's optics that hasn't been there since he lost his entire squad - hope. Not for him, perhaps - he's too old and slow to really make a run for it. But maybe he can save a few others - make up for what he's lost. Charging up his fist, he makes for the North Gate guard on the left, trying to take him out so the others can get away.

As things descend rapidly into chaos, Octus jumps to his feet, wildly waving all six arms. "What are they doing? Stop them! Don't let them get away! Kill them all!" Spilling his drinks on those around him, Octus looks around rapidly, waiting for someone else to actually follow his orders.

Blast Off has posed:
Ooop, and there goes Onslaught to defend his spreadsheet honor! Blast Off feels a bit disappointed to see him go, but can't help but admire the mech's dedication. Onslaught is always so precise, putting care into everything he touches. Sigh. The shuttleformer watches him go, then scoots closer to Vortex. There's a mild retort of a huff at Brawl, then he glances to Goth. "Pitiful. Yes, I think that covers this quite... succinctly."

Then suddenly... Um. Blast Off does a bit of a double take. "....Now what are they doing?" All the 'Bots seem to be rushing the gate. "Ok, NOW it got interesting." He doesn't move a circuit though.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex chuckles. "Now this is interesting." He stans. "Break out. Is that a prison break?!" he chuckles, looking ready to launch at the first order. "I love prison breaks!"

Quake has posed:
The Triggercons guarding the North Gate as quickly overwhelmed, as Tap-Out leaps on one of them and Fendoff smashes the other. Dashfist drives right down the middle, letting the other Autobots do the work as he makes his escape.

Nightlash has posed:
And there's something. There's a pang of...regret? Lamentation? Unease? perhaps...even remorse? Either way, Nightlash just sort of...sends her still-cloaked drone into a sharp dive towards the power complex and sighs inwardly... It's...hard. It hurts. It's...probably the best thing she can do right now as she starts to take stock of the responding Decepticons. Hmm...there's Blast Off. Right. She turns her sensors towards the...well, the all of them, rolling out her own missiles. If the prisoners are making a break for it, she'll just add to the chaos...

Rest in pieces, drone, hopefully that's enough to break the power grid.

And...suddenly, she's just laying down cover in the best way she knows how... with rediculous amounts of fire.

Brawl has posed:
"Oh. Frag. Yeah!" Brawl utters. Rather than being indigant that the prisoner scums decided to rebel, he is elated that he is no longer stuck being a spectator. Pushing people out of his way to get down to the killing floor, not even caring if they get shoved down among the gladiators, he rushes to join the action. Not able to wait to get down there, Brawl pulls out a gun and fires at one of the prisoners even as he is making his way down to the mezzanine just above the arena. It just so happens he fires at the one trying to go unnoticed.

And then suddenly there is death from above. Brawl staggers in surprise as that is NOT the direction he was anticipating an attack.

Goth has posed:
Goth gives the other mech the stink optic, but says nothing more, shaking his helm... His optics widding and ears move forward as he stands himself up. "The Slag?" He'd blurts, only.. Well, To let out a screech of pain, he's on FIRE, he was not expecting the FIRE! nor the new hold in his armor, He'd push himself up and snarl, panting heavily.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive shouts to his own team, "AUTOBOTS GO!" He swings his staff around and moves away from the gates, but only so that he can help Kickdown up and call to Cambelt." There's a fierce grin on his face as he uses the stick to help make up for his limp and to slam the first guard that runs up to him. Optics search for Tap-out but he's got to watch his own back as well as the bots around him as they make for the gates.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Seeing the signal, Cambelt tosses her tool into the forcefield protecting the spectators, watching the forcefield light up, the object suspecteded there a moment as it arcs with electricity, then drops to the ground. She then drives after it, grabbing it. Did it... absorb some of the power? Something on it is glowing. Cambelt holds it close and begins rushing towards the gate she'd already been slowly working her way towards

Kickdown takes Hyperdrive's help up and is quick to transform and join the prison break. He swerves towards Cambelt, back doors of his altmode opening. "Get in!" he shouts. Not about to argue, she jumps in, the doors shutting behind her.

Drivetrain seems a bit startled by everything going on, but he's quick to join up on the escape effort. When suddenly the Arean is alight with fire, he quickens his pace. "There must be a Primus after all!"

Blast Off has posed:
Blast Off just stares down at the chaos, not making a move to head towards it. Well, maybe he won't have to give Swivel the sad news after all. Go little Autobot, go! He just watches, almost amused now. Brawl can go fight but he's happy to stay back and let things fall where they may. He looks around the arena just as a movement catches his optic- something a little too familiar, something that sets alarms ringing inside his head. Frag. The shuttleformer is quick, leaping back and behind some other larger obstacle, letting IT take the damage. Or them, whoever. Whatever.

He darts back and eyes the newly exposed Autobot in their midst, rifle now in his hands but not aimed yet. "Looks like the cavalry has arrived." He glances around, expecting other Autobots to appear any second. There's a look upward as he half-expects... "Sky Lynx? Has he shown yet?" Blast Off still seems more almost... amused by this than anything. Or smug. Or both. "SEE? And WHO is surprised that the Autobots have staged a rescue? Anyone, really? Really? Anyone?" He looks around, daring someone to say yes.

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out takes out one of the guards and then hops back down to his feet, swinging his staff and looking elated. And then... there's fire! "I don't know what's happening, guys, but this is just the cover we need! Make a break for it!" The little Mini-Bot bends down like an American football player and prepares to simply charge through the Decepticon hordes, making a path for the others to escape. He staggers suddenly, however, as Dashfist explodes next to him, and Tap-Out is deafened by a Decepticon shriek of pain. Covering his audials, Tap-Out struggles to keep moving.

Fendoff beats the guard on the left into unconsciousness and then motions for Cambelt and Hyperdrive to move. Fendoff then transforms and drops down into tank mode, targeting Brawl to cover the retreat.

Chains is left behind. He moves towards the south gate, trying to turn himself in during the confusion. He knows the revolt will be quashed and he's not about to die with the others.

Nightlash has posed:
For a brief while, Nightlash just watches her drone slam into the power plant and the smoke from the impact itself...paying that even more mind than the glorious sight of fire all over the place.

It's...a moment.

But then the task at-hand comes back, and she pivots to keep up the pressure so the group that can get away has the most likely chance of doing so, and that means focusing down the big nasty mean things that are trying to shoot them apart.

So...she picks the next one. The threat to her airspace. Vortex.

A missile rolls out of her bay and is launched towards the aerial combaticon as she gets her radio up and running.

<<Autobots. Sonic Canyons. Reinforcements are waiting to help. Just move... I'll do what I can here.>>

Vortex has posed:
Vortex finds hiself in the chaos and just enjoys it. This is what the crazy helicopter lives for. He chuckles, lifting off the ground and transforming. "You Autobots better hang on to whatever you hold dear. Its gonna get a bit windy!" he starts up one of his massive windstorms, which takes a while to aim at people.

Quake has posed:
As chaos explodes around him, Quake remains remarkably calm for a berserker. He makes his way slowly through the crowd, shoving aside anyone slow enough to get in his way. As he nears the North Gate, he finally bellows, "HYPERDRIVE! I'm not finished with you yet." To get Hyperdrive's attention, Quake slowly draws his gun... and fires at Kickdown. Threatening Hyperdrive's new friends seems to be the perfect way to get Hyperdrive to stay and face him.

Brawl has posed:
Brawl ignores Blast Off's useless posturing as he pats at some of the lingering flames over his armour. Then he takes a hit from another tank. Brawl looks up after staggering back, surprised again. Brawl jumps down off the mezzanine into the ring, transforming and leveling his own cannon at the other mech. After a hum, he unleashes his twin sonic cannons!

Goth has posed:
Goth is heaving in pain and lets out another screech as the fire melts at his armor, his optics have gone wild, and he looks up above, trying not endure the pain, when he sees Nightlash high above, /that is where the fire came from! "You Glitch!" He'd snarl, It had been so long since he'd been set on fire, he was now right mad about it! He was going to make her /pay/ for that..

He'd Violently launch himself into the air, fire and smoke trailing behind him.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is right there, ready to help Tap-out keep moving. He is luckily a bit more protected against noise and light due to his own types of attacks. The young mech is...well it's not the same mech that the combaticons were facing the night before. He is trying to keep his group together, focusing on Tap-out but trying to help the others. However he's quick to leave chains to his fate and only spares a single sad look for dashfist. But they have to get out of here. Then he hears QUake. He turns to ssee Kickdown getting blasted by Quake. He pushes Tap-out toward the exit. Turning the mech grips onto the large fang and snaps it and spins sending one of the sections at Quake!

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out gets Nightlash's radio and elation flashes across his scarred face. "Hear that, Autobots! We've got back up! Roll out!" Invigorated by Nightlash's efforts, Tap-Out fights his way towards the exit.

Fendoff stays behind, his frame rocking and vibrating as he's slammed by Brawl's sonic cannons. << Keep going, Autobots, >> Fendoff radios the others. << I've got this, >> he says with sober finality. He fires again at Brawl.

Nightlash has posed:
Nightlash huffs softly as her missile goes wide and runs a quick diagnostic...only to feel Goth rip into things in all the wrong ways. She rolls, and then just mutters a bit as she transforms, pushes the bat away, and looks down. Well, chaos seems to be the best thing going for the escapees, so she looks down at who's still getting stuff going and pulls out the Blast Off special, setting the detonation sequence in place and just tossing it towards the Combaticon force before looking at Quake.

That'll probably be the next threat in line.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Kickdown tilts dangerously to one side from the impact. He seems to be having an argument with his current cargo. But then Cambelt forces her way out, not about to accept Quake's interference. Cambelt hops out and charges at Quake, thrusting her odd tool at him even as Hyperdrive smacks him with the Fang of the Beast.

Kickdown shouts at Cambelt, seeming torn between going back for her and rushing to the gates. But seeing Fendoff's sacrifice, he knows better than to have it be in vain. He slams on the gas and accelerates towards the gates - which isn't very fast.

Drivetrain isn't caring about revenge or vengeance or helping anyone else. He's in a rush. He transforms and gets on out of there, not caring what dangers may lie ahead. He's going to make it to the Sonic Canyons at all costs.

Blast Off has posed:
SEE? He was right, this was just *asking* for trouble. That's what happens when you act more like uncouth hooligans than the obviously righteous... and civilized. Blast Off is still feeling rather smug, not even inclined to shoot all that much. Though as Nightlash fires at his teammate, his trigger finger slips down into place. Hmm. Though, Tex is unharmed and Goth seems to have got things under control. Well, if anyone asks, he isn't shooting at Nightlash because he doesn't want to strike Goth. Which, come to think of it, is probably true, given Goth is a medic AND his boyfriend is the OTHER medic so... yeah, don't wanna tick them off. So instead, he finds Hyperdrive in the chaos and watches him strike back at Quake with the tiniest smirk on his lips. Under the faceplate.

This all changes, however, the moment Nightlash strikes again- and it's a BOMB, the shuttle's weakness. He's not fast enough this time. "Arrrgh!!!" He's blasted back, armor plates shattering everywhere, landing on someone else before shoving himself off and growling up at the Autobot flier. He's bleeding and quite damaged just from that one blow, and that- THAT- will not go unanswered. "That does it.... you want a fight? I shall give you one!" The Combaticon leaps into the air, transforming, and there's a much larger shuttle streaking through the air towards Nightlash. "<< You shall REGRET that. >>" He's MAD now. He locks lasers on her and fires away.

Goth has posed:
Goth lets out an angered hiss at her, as he's sent falling towards the tent, he was quick to spin himself upright, shooting back up into the air, and.. Vanishing!

Vortex has posed:
Vortex chuckles. "You!" he says, as he avoids a couple of nasty hits from Nightlash. He aims his windfunnel at her. "You're our biggest threat. So you win the prize.." he chuckles. "Wind funnel your way!" oh that funnel. He aims it at Nightlash and just lets it loose, cackling the whole time. "Here, Niiightlash nightlash nightlash!" he tries to bring her odwn!

Quake has posed:
Quake grunts as his thick armor is pierced by the fang of the beast that nearly ate Hyperdrive. "Heh," he says. "Resourceful." Quake then hauls out his Double Photon Pistol. "S'too bad you're all going to die. You, Hyperdrive, will die last, though, and in the most pain. I have plans for you, kid. Plans a long time in the making." Quake smirks as Cambelt's weapon jams, and then opens fire, not really caring who else gets hit.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive's face brightens as he hears at least one voice he was sure he wouldn't hear again. He shouts at Cambelt, "Come on! We gotta go!" She's the only one not heading the right direction now. Optics look pleadingly in her direction as he slams the end of the fang into the end of his broken stick to make himself a spear. He shouts at Cambelt as he launches said spear at Quake. He hopes he's got enough of an arm to send it into Quake and if nothing else, Cambelt might be able to wedge further where the suns don't shine. "NOW GET OUTTA THERE CAM! LET'S GO!" Bum foot or not, he's ready to run to get out of here and catch up with the rest.

Nightlash has posed:
Nightlash glowers at the explosion. It's glorious, sure, but there's something else there as she's...out for blood? Something. She's not really looking like her usual carefree self.

Which costs her as both Blast Off and Vortex open up on her, the armor plating that gets struck showing far more wear than seems...healthy? Yeah. That hurt.

She transforms again, engines kicking in to give her some speed as she hunts around... Where's that stupid bat? Nowhere? ...nowhere. Right. Next target. She ignores Vortex, even with his aggivating hot air being blown her way. She's flown in worse. Though, she does make sure to give Vortex a piece of her mind in the way of a very long, very colorful string of obscenities.

Right. The sniper.

<<Hyperdrive, get their afts in gear NOW.>>

Tap-Out has posed:
Tap-Out gets to the door and then looks back to see several of the Autobots facing off against Quake. "No no no no no!" he yells. "Get to the Canyons! Everyone! Move!" Running back, he helps Hyperdrive and Kickdown pull Cambelt back, getting them on the road to the canyons (and giving Tachy fewer people to play). Once they're on their way, Tap-Out gives Fendoff one last silent prayer of thanks, and heads to the Canyons himself.

Quake has posed:
Quake gets hit square in the chest by Hyperdrive's makeshift javelin. The fang-spear pierces Quake's armor and strikes something important, causing the Decepticon berserker to fall to one knee. He scowls in pain - both physical pain from his injury and then insult on top of it as Hyperdrive gets away. At least, for now. Because as soon as Quake gets patched up, he's going to go hunting. The Autobots only have one place to go and Quake intends to follow.

Goth has posed:
Goth had some sense returning to him as he felt the pain of the fire eat at his frame once more, he lets out another pained, ragged cry. He can't take anymore of this, but he's not about to let the bots go without a /warning/ and sets his optics on Hyperdrive.

Blast Off has posed:
The shuttle comes soaring after Nightlash, engines grumbling angrily. Blast Off ignores the rest of the escaping Autobots, they're really not his concern. But he DOES have a score to settle with the Autobot flier. He fires a blast across her fueslage, then gears up for another round. "<< You've assisted your comrade's escape, fine. But leave NOW or don't ever leave at all! >>" He warns as he fires more shots at the Autobot from his wing lasers, orbital laser warming up for a larger strike in just a moment.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex is luckily easily distracted by going after nightlash, which means the prisoners are out of his line of sight. He fires his side mounted laser at her, cackling. "Bring her owdn. Then the others." hes lost in battlelust, cackling like the madmech he is.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Since Cambelt is running for the door and so is everyone else, that's where Hyperdrive's headed, following at a run but still with a bit of a limp. He's protecting his friends and smiling as it looks like four of them are getting out, the tank taking on brawl and holding off that combaticon gets one look. But then focuses on those in front of him. "Keep running! My friends gave us a chance!"

Nightlash has posed:
It's not looking good for Nightlash. She's getting hammered by the everything in her effort to draw fire... so, hopefully the mechs that need to make a get-away are making a proper get-away...

She's getting hit, she's looking a bit unstable in the air, and she's laying down a trail of rather thick, black smoke in her wake as she flies overhead, but...hey, it looks like the group down below FINALLY got the hint and is moving.

Good.

She looks at her weapon systems, then just...throttles up to get some altitude, one engine sputtering dangerously, but...hey, at least she's moving still, and at least the group below's progressing towards safety.

Tap-Out has posed:
By now, much of the crowd has dispersed to outside, trying to avoid the fire and flying photons. Octus is still screaming and waving his arms, which somehow isn't lowering the amount of chaos. Chains approaches the guards, who look at him warily before bringing him before Octus. One of the guards asks, "Um, he was last. Does this mean he wins?" Octus looks at Chains a long moment before taking a gun from one of his own guards and shooting Chains at point-blank range. "If he lives, give him to Vortex. I want to know where these prisoners are going." Returning the gun to his guard, Octus turns and disappears behind his dais, leaving his underlings to regain control of the Power Base.

Goth has posed:
Little turbo-rat wasn't going to get away that easy! He'd speed towards Hyperdrive and attempted to bite at his exposed fuel lines, slagger wasn't going to leave unscathed!

Brawl has posed:
It would see that Fendoff's brave sacrifice did what it was intended. He's still got Brawl's rapt attention. Brawl takes the hit squarely and returns with a volley of his own, not even seeming to really notice or care about the other prisoners escaping. Or Nightlash. Or anything. A bit of tunnel vision here.

Blast Off has posed:
Blast Off figures he did the gentlemechly thing and didn't *absolutely obliterate* Nightlash already, but his patience wears thin. "<< Still, you stick around? For what, your *death*? I didn't figure you for the suicidal type, but if you insist... >>" It's not just this time, it's anger at *many* times those bombs have done so much damage. The shuttleformer arcs around and, finding the Autobot still hanging around, seeks to invite her to stay- permenently! He fires off another orbital laser burst.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex purrs softly. "Aww, you mean it Octus? Listen to him, looking out for me and my desire to torture something." he says. "But now, we better finish what we started right brother?" he fires almost lazile at Nighlash, cackling. "Every time I fire at her the drones get me and its wonderful."

Tap-Out has posed:
Fendoff takes the hit but is silently pleased. He may have lost his old team but now he's helped his new team get away. Rather than retreating, Fendoff rolls forward, using the last of his reserves to pour on the attack and keep Brawl occupied. He may die here today but after what he's been through, he welcomes the eternal rest. 'Til all are one.

Nightlash has posed:
It hurts. It really does, and it shows. For the briefest of moments, it's almost like Nightlash is going down, altitude is lost, the trajectory screams it's a stall...but she seems to recover and stabilizes, and just keeps the throttle going... It seems like all of them are out, except the one fighting Quake... but there's nothing more she can do for him now. She's got nothing left...and with one last scan of the area, and a flyover where her drone crashed into the powerplant, she...just rockets off, the trail of acrid smoke marking her trajectory.

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is running and part of him is trying to get his forcefield working again. But so far they seem completely disabled. Well that is until he feels a tingly sensation off to one side and something convinces him to duck and dodge and that's when the big scary bat appears, "GAH! getawaygetawaygetaway!" He runs even faster, covering his head as he following his teammates.

Tachyglossus (95) has posed:
Although severely delayed, a larger group of security and armed forced surround the Power Base. They open fire on as many of the escapees as possible as they retreat, while others rush into the Power Base itself, ready to subdue to pick off any stragglers, such as Fendoff. The ones outside are spred thin enough that the escapees who aren't taken down by their wide spray manage to filter through various defenses. Although some may lose contact with each other, all begin to make their way towards the Sonic Canyons. Only time will tell which ones make it that far.

Goth has posed:
Goth misses, that's just his luck! at least now he's outside and away from the fire.. speaking of the flames finally go out on his frame and he just... slumps there on the ground, panting, tired, he'd used a lot of energy up. He'd tap on his commlink and start speaking into it. "<<Dustoff... Fire..>>" Least he's awake.

It would take a few kilks, but he'd get himself up and start limping his way to the medical bay, slag giving chase right now! The Militia has it coverd.. sort of.

Blast Off has posed:
"<< Indeed, Vortex, >>" Blast Off replies to his brother, and their combined firepower nearly takes Nightlash down. Still, somehow, she just barely manages to stay airborne and begins to flee. The damage is obvious and it's apparent one more good hit could probably fell her for good. Blast Off takes aim, ready to fire and finish it at LAST, MWAHAHA... but then he catches sight of Fendoff down there sacrificing himself to Brawl to save the rest of his buddies, including Hyperdrive. Shall Nightlash sacrifice herself for them, too? A twinge of guilt about all this prevents the shuttle from firing, despite still being in range. With a grumbling huff, he turns back, still ignoring the scattering ex-prisoners.

Vortex has posed:
Vortex pauses in his assault as Blast Off hesitates. "Blast Off? You doin good?" he asks. "Come on down. I'll get you to medbay" his brother is in trouble and that distracts him from the fight.

Brawl has posed:
Brawl probably should get out of this mess since most of the prisoners have left the building. BUt there's Fendoff. Even as militia go to take him into custody, Brawl fires off a rather spiteful, albeit, not as powerful blast before transforming. <<"Did someone mention drinks?">>

Hyperdrive has posed:
Hyperdrive is, pushing himself to keep the other moving even as they take fire from the guards, He moves back and forth between the members of the group, a worried glance sent skyward at Nightlash. He'd fire on the con sentries but his other weapons are still offline. Instead he works to try and keep moving back and forth to distract the guards and get their focus on himself. "Gogogo! Gotta move after all they've done, we'll remember them later, but we gotta move, don't stop, keep movin! Use the cover! Keep goin!"
