Synopsis: Lynx visits a recovering Starlock in the medbay in the wake of the Stanix battle. The two have a pleasant conversation in spite of the circumstances.
Cast of Characters: Sky Lynx, Starlock

Sky Lynx has posed:
Word travels quick when it comes to the Autobot command reporting sitreps on battles...or, perhaps, some aspects of the Command just pay attention to who gets logged in and out of the medbay a bit more than others. Either way, the doors open and, even if he's not really needing to be there, one Sky Lynx does make his way in and ventures towards his usual spot, looking about at those brought in. Though, perhaps more specifically, for one in particular that did manage do draw a bit of concern.

Starlock has posed:
Starlock has indeed been brought in and in a very rough, and unconsciousness state, normal fire from the defences and... Well, there's the oddity of the burn marks, and melt of wires at her neck, her armor is also very much in no-repairable state. The drones are working on the damage.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx sighs as his sight settles on that...and he frowns noticeably before glancing at the readouts. Well, at least the drones are doing their work. Not like he could really offer to help much in this particular case... There's a grunt, and he surveys the medbay.

Where /are/ the other medics anyway?

"Well...at least they got you back here, hmm? I should apologize, they had me tied up in Kalis, as much good as that did... I don't know why we didn't better shift some of our forces towards the offensive." He looks back down, just to survey the damage being repaired. "It's unfortunate, really, I'd hoped you would at least be...aware of things. Like I've said before, conversation in the medbay is rather dull when you're not a part of it."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock doesn't' respond, a lot of her her vitals are in flux, but they do eventually settle, she's clearly been out for a while now.. And that was the question, wasn't it? Where was the other medics, and Pharma for that matter, hadn't he been out with her?

It would be a bit, after the drones have finished their repairs, and a proper energon drips been set up... She'd eventually start coming to with a groan... Her optics slowly lighting up from where they'd once dimmed.

Sky Lynx has posed:
"Though, I suppose...if at least one of us can converse, then...we can indeed converse." He continues on regardless, just watching the monitors a bit... Right, where /was/ Pharma? A question for later, perhaps. "I...had a chance to reach out to some old...companions of mine who have fallen off the grid...they scrounged around a bit, I...well, I suppose I won't ruin the surprise, it can wait. But, you might enjoy it, at least."

He looks down as things start to progress and the optics come online... "Ah...and there we are. Don't...push it too hard. You're here, safe, I...assure you of that. Just...take it easy and let things come back online at their pace so you don't wind up overstressing something critial."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock coughs out, hard, but she doesn't push herself up. Her optics come fully online and she looks up, tiredly, at Lynx. "...Hey..." she'd greet with a weak smile. "...Fragged up, didn't I?" she'd chuckle weakly and sigh. "....My armor finally failed." she'd sigh.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx thinks on that a moment. "I'd say...it wasn't the armor at fault. Not sure how you wound up out there without proper support... Never mind it, though, you're here and you're being tended to." He lowers his head down so his chin's resting near the medberth, putting his optics a bit closer to 'bedside' than hovering. "But, yes, you do look like you got rolled over a few times."

He pauses. Up close, it does indeed look a lot worse. "I would ask how you're feeling, but I think I've a fair idea on what the answer is... all the same, are you doing alright? Is there anything I can get you?"

Starlock has posed:
"Eheh.. It did fall off on me so." She'd smile weakly, and reached over, patting Lynx's snout, closing her optics. "mmm.. Was fighting Blast Off.." she'd mumble. "Was.. doing okay.. Then Hookshot appeared and that was it." She'd continue. There was actually a burn on her back from where Hookshot shocked her.

"...Don't know..." She'd frown. "...Everything hurts." she'd chuckle weakly. "I feel like i got rolled over.."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx angles his head slightly at that pat to make sure she's not leaning over or reaching too far. "Hookshot...I haven't seen him out there in a while. Though, considering it was Stanix...that is not a place the Decepticons will give up lightly." He frowns. That just makes the question of how the medics wound up out there unsupported all the more pressing.

"Hmm...and, yes, I can imagine it hurts. I've had, as...strange as it may sound, my share of moments where I've simply taken on far more than I ought have to...and...well, results were almost similar." He thinks a bit. "Still...if anything comes to mind, don't hesitate to ask, hmm? Got to make sure my favorite medic is taken care of."

He then straightens up slightly. "Which reminds me...as I was saying while you were still out... I...pulled a favor or two with some old contacts of mine to procure something you might like. I...am sure it might not be the easiest thing to enjoy given current circumstances, so...I can always hold off." There's an amused chuckle on his part.

Starlock has posed:
Starlock hems, and gives a nod, resting her head, listening. "I can imagine.... Remember that.. that one time with the sonic canyons you came back rough? Had to do a lot of work." He'd mumble. "...Wheres Pharma?" She'd finelly ask glancing around. "..did he get taken to... To uh... Deltaran." She'd state, putting a finger up as she got it. She felt a bit ill, at being grateful for Pharma keeping her going through all of that, so felt some bit of responsibility for making sure he at least got out of there.

"...Eh?" She'd say, looking up at Lynx with a raised ridge.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx mmmhms. "Pharma always seems to wind up in Deltaran. Save for the one time he actually assisted in here after we fought together..." There's a momentary pause as he considers that, but then simply dismisses it. "And, yes, I do recall the Sonic Canyons." He grins a bit. "But, there is one thing I do remarkably well...and that's garner a fair bit of attention to keep it off others. Nothing I can't take."

He then offers a soft chuckle at the look of confusion. "I was kidding...considering how often I get shot up, holding onto this is probably a bad idea anyway..." He opens a cargo compartment. "I will...forewarn, it's...older, so...I can't guarantee all of it works right, but...still," he rummages about with his tailtip, it's...a practiced thing, and some special tooling helps.

"So...like I said, I pulled a favor or two. Well worth it, I'd say, just...promise me you'll put it to good use?" He finally gets whatever it is transfered from tail to teeth and sets a rather...antiquated looking case on the stand next to the medberth. "I was told back in the day these were rather sought after kits for artists. Good color variety and long-lasting...though I'm sure this is at least partially used. I'm not familiar with things like this so I can't quite offer a proper assessment."

Starlock has posed:
"Tellin' me." she'd add tartly to Lynx's statement about Pharma always ending up at Deltaran. "Take he's not done a report ether." She'd add once more, venting out an exhausted sigh, and glanced around for one of the Datapads, but even when she does spot one, she's not really up to getting up to get it.

She'd glance back up, draping an arm over the broken armor of her chassis. The sour look on her face quickly changed to one of interest and then excitement as she slowly processed and recognize what it was, sitting up to quickly to try and look at it, she'd end up flinching from the pain caused by doing such. "Oooph.."

She'd take a few vents, some light welling at her optics, she'd give Lynx a large grin. "Thank you... You didn't.." She'd almost stop herself, but no she felt she needed to finish it. "Didn't have to, but.. .still.." she'd smile.

Sky Lynx has posed:
"Easy now," he frowns as she overdoes it and winds up hurt, moving to pick the case up and move it over instead. "Hmph, if you're just going to break yourself to get a look at it, then I can always just bring it back later." He chuckles.

The case itself is...aged, yes, antiquated, the supplies inside not complete. Most are at least, though, still halfway good if they are there, a few moreso, and at least there's a decent variety of colors for use. All in all, not...bad.

"And of course I had to. The opportunity presented itself, and...well, I know you had mentioned several solar cycles ago-" he pauses and thinks a moment, "perhaps longer...hmm. But you had mentioned you were...running out, and...like I said, I do need to make sure my favorite medic is taken care of or I might never get put back together again when I break."

He grins. "And...I wanted to, so...there's that as well."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock would stick her tongue out, half-heartedly at him, but she would over the supplies and smile softly, and nodded. "...Thank you. These will definitely be getting some use." She'd chuckle, pointing to the black. "actually ran out of this one." She'd state, remembering when she told Lynx she was running low.

"Heh.. I mean you'd still have Ratchet." She'd mostly say in an attempt to find out if she really was the one that new his systems the most. She would though wipe the tears from her optics and vented out. "...Again, thank you, I...Eheheh, needed just.. /something/ with how wrong everything's been going."

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx bahs. "Ratchet is not...bad, no, but Pharma's bedside manner is horrible...that and, well, I do believe that, in all fairness, you're probably the most familiar with...the worst of what I can go through, if that makes sense." He settles himself back down and smiles faintly. "And the conversation is always pleasant, even if I do manage to make it rather one-sided from time to time."

He just gives a slight nod. "And...yes. Things have not been...the most pleasant of late. It's easy to forget that there's still things which are good out there when the worst of it just piles on. So...anything I can do to help with that."

Starlock has posed:
Starlock let out a small chuckle as she looked up at Sky LYnx, and settled against the medberth, and sighed. "...Really? I would thought you'd been through worse, before I showed up." He'd question, raising a ride as she looked up at him. "Heh.. And that's okay, I'm not good with talking, but I do have my moments... I'm a better listener, so.." She'd nod.

She'd mull over that statement a moment. "I believe you mean, dumpster fire." she'd chuckle. "...But yeah just.. It's hard to hold onto hope, when everything is just burning, and you can't stop it."

Sky Lynx has posed:
"Well, maybe...I've had my moments, but the big fortifications never really were out there like they are now...and the opposing faction's bolstered strength... It's all just been escalating slowly. We used to get by with deterrence. Not so much anymore, and even long back when, those medical teams are...gone, as far as I know."

He grunts. "But, yes, hope, that's why we do what we do, isn't it. Some day, the need for fighters will be gone, and those who can create and rebuild will be what decides the good days from the bad." He rests his chin lightly on the edge of the medberth. "And...listening is a good skill to have. You did right by that one."

Starlock has posed:
She'd frown in thought, things really have gotten worse, haven't they? It was something that was.. unfortunately normal to her by now, and she wasn't sure if that was a good thing. "...I hope I can see that day.. I really do." She'd close her optics, and the more she thought about all that happened, she realized how far worse things could of been.

"...I'm glad I spoke up, when I did." She'd nod.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx gives a slight nod. "As am I... it's good you did. As for seeing that day? Well...that's partly my responsibility. As I was saying before you woke up, I...apologize. Had I known that it was only you and Pharma going headlong against the Decepticons...I'd have sent someone in my own absence to assist. We might all be here to fight in a war, but some of us are charged with making sure the right minds and sparks make it out of the war."

He gives her a careful look. "So long as I can help it, that will never happen again."

Starlock has posed:
She'd give him a tired smile, and lean over to hug him best she could hug a space dragon pterodactyl-cat. She wanted to state to not prioritize her over others, but.. No, that was rude, and for that matter.. It was a comfort she needed. "...Thank you and.. It's okay..." She'd murmur, keeping her helm against Lynx, finding herself trying not to drift off. "I'm also sorry I keep making you all worry, and get into trouble in my attempts to help."

Sky Lynx has posed:
He leans that head in as best he can, mindful not to just bowl her over with it considering the damaged state she's in, but still to help keep her from straining with that reach. "Well, don't you worry about my worries. I've got plenty of me to handle that." He grins and shuffles a bit in place to get resettled.

"Besides, you've got rest and recovery to worry about. Worry not, though, I am more than prepared to help things along, I've got plenty of tales and stories to regale one for countless ages." He flashes a grin before resting his chin down. "So...we'll get through it, agreed?"

Starlock has posed:
"Alright... And Agreed." she'd grin, eventually laying back down, and setting aside the art kit, to stow away safely for later, before taking in a vent. "I'd not mind hearing some of those right now, it would help pass the time, before I need to head out to Rodion." she'd chuckle.

Sky Lynx has posed:
Sky Lynx grunts. "Rodion...I'll do what I can to be there as well." He grunts. "But, right...a good tale, hmm...well, did I ever tell you about the time I was scouting around and found this...ball of rock in the middle of nowhere, and it had this tremendous amount of gravitational pull.... and if you angled your approach right, you could reach remarkable speeds..."
