Welcome

Greetings, and thank you for your interest in Transformers: The Dark Eras MUSH. While we are all very excited to see what your character(s) will bring to this story, we are also aware of how important it is that everyone is fully aware of the rules as well as expectations on both players and staff before joining the community. Therefore, all incoming players are required to read and agree to all theme and policy files, as listed in the Learn More section on the Main Page, before receiving an approved character.

Finished Reading?

Great! If you're still interested in playing, go to the Application page and follow the instructions to apply for a character. Please give staff 2-3 days to respond to your application, as time will be required for discussion and deliberation--we believe that second opinions during application review are highly valuable. In the meantime, you may log onto the game at tdemush.net port 2005 as a guest to chat with staff and players or view +fclist for a list of available characters. Remember, just because the character you want is not on the roster, doesn't mean that it's unplayable. If you're unsure, ask a staff member. Type +staff to see a list of available staff members. Alternatively, if you don't want to use a client, you can connect instantly right here in your browser.

If you're new and find yourself wanting more once you've gotten into your first character, feel free to apply for a second one at any time. Having at least one character in each major faction helps keep the game balanced. This isn't necessarily a requirement, but it is highly encouraged.

So you've got your character...now what?

Now that you've been approved, congratulations! It's time to get to some RP! But don't forget to write a description for yourself! Alternatively, you might simply put a link to an image of your character instead.

If you're not familiar with the code system, please see +help on the game, especially +help Groups for faction-aligned characters. Additionally, set your timezone so that you may view the scene schedule in your timezone--otherwise the default is UTC. View +help +config to see how. These articles are also on this wiki, in the Help index which is accessible from the sidebar navigation.

Got it? Great! Now you're ready to RP! Try starting a scene on the RP channel by typing +rp <yourmessage>.

Wondering how to get around the grid? Type +roomlist to see a list of teleport locations throughout the IC world, and simply click the Pueblo links to or type +port <room name or dbref#> to teleport there.

Additionally, all players are joined to the RP, Staff-Help, Public, and Broadband channels by default. To manage your channels as well as other personal options such as colors, keys, and room objects, please see the Technical page. You may also want to check out other articles in the Help index if you are unfamiliar with the code, which may be accessed from the Main Page or the sidebar navigation.

Finally, we recommend that you create a wiki page for your character. You may do so by clicking the "Add New Character" button on the homepage. You may customize your character page as much as you want, so long as you keep the correct categories and adhere to Wiki Policy.
