"Who and what am I...?"

Profile:[]

A decommissioned Autobot powerhouse, the Autobot Quickswitch proved to be too unstable for civilian life and so was placed in stasis until needed and until a cure could be found. Dangerously unpredictable, Quickswitch is subject to sudden mood swings and personality shifts as a result of his nearly unique number of modes. He is gifted--or cursed--with six modes of vastly different design and intent, except for one--War. Robot warrior, jet-propelled laser cannon, assault hovercraft, armor-piercing drill tank, sub-orbital fighter jet, and assault beast. They tug and tear at his mind and emotions, leaving the sixchanger deeply confused and unsettled at who and what he is. Recently called from stasis, Quickswitch must perform his duties and find his place once more.

History:[]

Quickswitch was sparked as a rare point-one-percenter and quickly snatched up by the Senate for research and to be used as a weapon when required. The Prime lineage wasn’t much better with him, treating him more as a “living, sentient weapon” than a Cybertronian in his own right. Quickswitch was assigned to counter his “father” Sixshot, which only worsened the Sixchanger’s mental status having to fight him. Once Megatron was defeated, the unstable Sixchanger found himself in a very confusing world. Unable to adapt to it, he was placed in stasis until a cure for his mental instabilities could be found—or until he was required again.

Skills & Abilities[]

Fast Transformation: Quickswitch can transform faster than the average Cybertronian between any of his six forms. This can allow him to get the drop on many slower opponents. A downside to this is that Quickswitch consumes more energon than the average Cybertronian in order to function quickly.

Stealth: In his beast mode, Quickswitch is capable of moving silently. In this way, he can hunt and strike first at an opponent. He can also sneak into strongholds or overhear sensitive information without being heard.

Primal Fighting: Quickswitch knows how to fight as an assault beast, utilizing his claws, fangs, and even lasers to rend his opponents to shreds and destroy what’s left. It’s harder to fight a beast that won’t fight like a robot but instead fights like a wild turbo-animal.

Marksman: Quickswitch not only carries a pair of blasters which he utilizes with efficiency in robot mode, he turns into a giant gun. He’s not quite a sharpshooter, but he is an expert marksman.

Armor-Piercing: The drill tank mode’s titanium-reinforced drill can pierce most armor and metal barriers. This gives him an advantage for creating entrances, exits, and tearing into an opponent’s armor to make them much more vulnerable.

Flight: Quickswitch can fly in no less than half of his modes: Beast, Jet-Propelled Laser Cannon, and in Sub-Orbital Fighter Jet Mode, he can reach orbit, but not break it. This puts him at a disadvantage in space.

Unarmed Combat: Even without his blasters, Quickswitch can punch, kick, and grapple with the best of them. He’s not trained in martial arts, however. But would more be like a wrestler or brawler.

All-Terrain Combat: Quickswitch can fight in multiple terrains easily, from space to the sub-terrainian. Quickswitch can fight in the sky in any of his flight-capable modes, but is most deadly-efficient at this with his jet mode. He also loves the ocean and can swim in it and travel as his hovercraft form, and can can fight in the water speedily with his twin photon blasters. Lastly, not only can Quickswitch fight in a limited capacity in space, he can also fight underground, weakening foundations and causing the ground to tremble for anyone on the surface, giving him this advantage in combat. All he needs to do is burrow a way in, in drill tank mode.

Armed In All Modes: Quickswitch carries twin photon blasters in all modes (except his cannon mode, in which he turns into a double-barreled photon cannon. This makes it difficult to come upon him unarmed, as he simply isn’t, and thus enemies can’t really surprise him that way.

Weaknesses[]

Out Of Place: Quickswitch is out of place as a Cybertronian. He has six modes and an overabundance of weaponry and combat ability. This makes it difficult for him to blend into society or deep cover operations, being instantly recognizable.

Confused: Quickswitch may seem overpowered, but his effectiveness is hampered by his confused mind. Sometimes he’s outright unwilling to fight and other times mentally paralyzed by his shifting moods at crucial moments.

Unpredictable: Nothing about Quickswitch is predictable, least of all his moods. One never knows if Quickswitch will be a kind ally or a raging war machine. Even his views shift as often as his modes, and part of him is untrusting of the Prime lineage and other times absolutely loyal to it.

Jack of All Trades, Master of None: Quickswitch is versatile and combat adaptable, but his surplus of forms leaves him a ‘jack of all trades’ rather than a true master of any of his modes. He’s capable of fighting in almost any terrain, but he isn’t the best at aerial manouvres in jet mode, for example, or the best hunter in beast mode, or the best marksman, in cannon mode. He may be versatile, but he doesn't stand up to the true masters of their respective fields.

Mistransformation: Quickswitch can sometimes become stuck between modes, especially when stressed or emotions tear at his mind. This can seriously hamper his ability to perform during combat, or even out of combat during a social situation.

Armor Seams: Quickswitch has slightly better armor than the average Cybertronian, but that armor has seams which can be taken advantage of by a knowledgeable foe and take the sixchanger out of commission. His legs in robot mode are vulnerable to damage, being more like thick cabling than true armor.

Energon Consumption: Because he is so overclocked, Quickswitch requires more energon than the average Cybertronian to keep functioning. With energon becoming depleted, others may start to look upon those like Quickswitch with a heavier energon requirement as wasteful and should be taken offline.
