Title: Recounting & Reparing PCs: Blurr, Arcee, Wheeljack, Quickswitch Location: Decagon - Repair Bay Date: 29 November 2015 Summary: Wheeljack repairs Blurr while the speedster brags about beating the slag out of Blast Off to he and Arcee. |
Blurr recently had a 'fun' time in Vos. As fun as getting blown up and then knocked against buildings can be, anyway. But hey, it was entertaining, watching Blast Off get so irked! Even though he didn't manage to actually arrest him. But at least, the sighting confirmed his suspicions that the Combaticon had been purchasing refined engex from a specialty shop in the southern sector. So yeah, it was totally worth it. He just ah...needs to find a medic now, who isn't busy, to take care of all these painful burns. Arcee is strolling down the corridor, in the process of studying a number of high-risk sectors and the plans to keep each one of those locations under careful observation. She stops when she sees an all-too-familiar blue bot, and she frowns in concern. "Wow, what happened to you?? You're a mess! Did you just get here??" "Uh!" Blurr turns around to find Arcee frowning in his direction. "YeahkindofwellIalmostgotBlastOffyoushould'veseenhisface!" he grins slightly. He really his a mess. He literally looks like he's been in an explosion. Severe burns everywhere. Which is probably because he -has- actually literally been in an explosion recently. "Guesswhat. Guess what he was doing." Arcee bends down to pick up a small scrap of something blue that looks kind of burnt up. It may or may not be a part off of Blurr. She just can't tell. But maybe the medics will know for sure. "Well let's go..." She encourages Blurr to continue as she detours back toward Medical. "What was Blast Off doing? Let me guess, he was trying to heist an enerwine shipment." It probably is a part of him. But no way to know for sure without doing some scans. Blurr follows her. "Close! He wasn't trying to steal it, but he was shopping for it. And he was carrying a crateful so I ambushed him. Then he ended up blowing the entire shop up. It was pretty hilarious." Yeah, with -him- inside. It really was great! Arcee chuckles, looking amused. "Can't say I feel too sorry about his ruined day," she admits. "But Primus, he sure is fast in his shuttle mode -- he's one of the few mechs I know who can actually tag you. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotten upgrades. If you want, I'll come with you next time in case he or some of the other Combaticons are still in that area," she offers. "Seriously though, do they really have nothing better to do than go shopping around for engex? Unless he was up to something else, though I actually doubt that." Blurr shakes his head at her comment about Blast Off being fast in his shuttle mode. "Well of -course- he's fast in his shuttle mode, every space-capable mech is fast in their space mode, otherwise their alt mode wouldn't make much sense, would it? Not too many obstacles clumped together out there, either. But no one can move like I can, not on the ground." he gives another self-satisfactory smirk, despite his obvious injuries. "Heh, not that I need your help but I wouldn't want to deny you the opportunity to see his reactions to stuff." Once they get to the Repair Bay doors, Arcee stops and turns toward Blurr, still looking amused. A long time ago, she used to very seriously worry about Blurr, but so long as he's actually returning to base now to get repairs on his own, that saves her the worrying task of going out into the field to seek him out. It's a minor improvement, but still important. "Okay, you, inside so they can sort you out," she exclaims playfully, shooing him inside as she walks in with him. Yes, it's definitely a step. It's really not that minor, actually. He's getting better. Blurr moves inside, chuckling a little bit. "Okay, okay, you don't have to shoo me along." he says, sounding slightly exasperated but still friendly. "What have you been up to lately anyway?" Arcee arrives in the repair bay along with Blurr, but she's in much better condition than the speedster is. She's carrying a small, blue armor plate that looks like it might have come off of Blurr but only a medic can make that call. "Me? Oh, just trying to get used to not calling Pax, Pax. Also trying to second-guess these Decepticon raids. Could be a pattern to them." It's easy to tell when Wheeljack is in the Repair Bay. Most of the current patients just get moved off to the side opposite of where the Engineer is working, and there's a lot of dirty looks being thrown his way by either Ratchet or Pharma. Not that he notices, because Wheeljack is hunched over a holo-terminal working intently on something. And nothing has been blown up yet. That's always a plus, right? A bit behind Arcee and Blurr comes a happy-looking robot. He might have even whistled a tune, if Cybertronians could whistle. Once he enters the repair bay, he spies the other patients and their furtive looks of anxiousness at his appearance, or outright gaping /stares/. A surly look crosses Quickswitch's face. To the PIT, ALL of 'em. Subconsciously, his blasters come out and he bites down on his dental plate, looking absolutely furious... Then, he sees Wheeljack! "Wheeljack! Been looking all over for you!" he calls out, apparently quite pleased to see the Engineer. "The pattern is they're after stuff. Any stuff." Blurr shrugs and sits down on a circuit slab, wincing just a little bit because touching things hurts. "And we can't let them take the stuff. Oh, yeah I think we're all kind of working on that part. 'Optimus Prime.' Has a nice ring to it, doesn't. Optimus. Heh, well it definitely suits him." Optimistic almost to a fault at times, in fact... He glances over at Wheeljack, who looks very busy with something, but he's the only one who isn't fixing someone. Then Quickswitch walks in. Oh great...-that- mech. Now wait, what was -he- doing out of cryo-stasis? He cringes a little bit at the sight of the sixchanger. Then Blurr seems to have thought of something. "Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you, I -totally- stuffed a miniature phosphex torch up his tailpipes. Turned it all the way up too. It was great." Okay, maybe it wasn't the tailpipes, but that just sounds more amusing. And he probably don't remember exactly -where- he put it. Arcee hmms, as she glances around, noticing Wheeljack. Good sign or bad sign when /he's/ on duty? Well, maybe it's a little bit of both with that mech. "I agree with you, they seem to be getting more...desparate, and I don't think that's exaggerating." She places Blurr's wayward part on the slab beside him, just as an angry looking Quickswitch enters. She tenses momentarily, watching him warily until he suddenly bursts into cheerful greeting. THEN, she relaxes, turning back toward Blurr. "You...you what? You are crazy," she laughs. It takes the boisterous shout of his name to yank Wheeljack up from his work, turning a bit to see who it actually was. "Quickswitch! Huh, ironic you'd be here." Pause. Tilts his head a bit, illunators flickering with a moment of uncertainty. "Wait, no, ironic isn't the right term. Oh, whatever." He dismisses both it and the display with a wave of his hand, gets up from the terminal and saunters over. "I'm suppose to have a chat with you anyways, so... hmm?" That's when he leans over a bit to look past the larger sixchanger to notice Blurr and Arcee at one of the tables. "You do know that's not the proper utilization of phosphex, right? Although.." Wheeljack rubs his faceplat with two digits. "Maybe that would do something about the jackshafts most Cons seem to have wedged up their anterior ports." The sixchanger's gaze finds itself upon Blurr, the famous speedster, and they narrow and brighten at the cringing look upon seeing him. His fingers tighten on his blasters... "Give me ONE reason why I SHOULDN'T--" he momentarily shouts, but then, Wheeljack addressing him paves a momentary path through the sudden fury. Quickswitch shelves his blasters into subspace and rubs at his brow, his face, "...Yeah, Wheeljack. We need to discuss some," he looks over the repair bay a second time, a look of concern upon his ever shifting features, "Stuff... Maybe, ah, another time? I don't know..." Blurr laughs a little. "Yeah, but it was fun. Of course they're desperate, they know this is almost over and they're -losing-. They're all gonna end up in Garrus-1 soon, I just know it." he smirks. "Hah," The speedster chuckles at Wheeljack's comment. "Yeah, you can say that again." And then Quickswitch threatens him. "Hey mech, we're on the same side now! Don't have to get your axles in a tangle!" Much to his relief, the sixchanger calms down himself. Blurr lowers his voice and whispers to Arcee. "Wasn't he supposed to be locked up in the Armory or something?" Arcee is quiet for a moment, giving Wheeljack time to assess just how messed up Blurr got in his latest fracas. As Quickswitch seems to vacillate between enraged and cheerful once more, Arcee leans gently against Blurr's shoulder and says in a quiet tone, "I, er, thought he /was/. Up until the moment he came in here. So your guess is as good as mine." Wheeljack lightly grabs Quickswitch's arm and gently lowers it back to his side. "Easy there big mech. Save that for the Decepticons, hmm?" The sixchanger's shifting between annoyance and uneasiness and back again doesn't go beyond notice, though. "And yeah. Later. In my workshop or something." Somewhere away from all the staring optics. "Besides, it looks like I've got a bit of work to do here." He strolls around the larger Bot like nothing had just happened and pulls out a med-scanner. "Not to burst your bubble, Blurr, but we're not entirely in a better state." Quickswitch looks on, dazed. "Yeah..." he murmurs, optics glazed over, "Think I'm gonna go recharge, or hunt down Decepticons, or, or something..." Blurr stares at Quickswitch. Well that was -odd-. Yeah he is definitely messed up. Of course, Blurr is one to talk. But hey, he's doing better these days. He shrugs the question off. "Oh come on don't be such a pessimist, Wheeljack. We got them good. And without Megatron, they don't have a -clue-." The speedster appears to be sporting a number of fairly severe burns. Wheeljack probably knows explosions well enough to recognize and that this looks very much like he was in one recently. "I feel kind of bad for him," Arcee muses as Quickswitch lumbers off. "He's cycling too rapidly to even deal with his emotions as they happen. I hope there's some way to help him. Some time ago, I was able to have a conversation with him and...honestly, he wasn't THAT bad back then." She settles down somewhat, watching as Wheeljack gets to work on Blurr's injuries. "He wasn't suppose to be online yet, but the containment systems for his cryochamber failed due to age," Wheeljack remarks, though it's a bit off sounding as he's focusing on getting to work on Blurr. "By the time the alarms triggered he was already mostly awake, and he'd have to be pulled out to repair the chamber anyways, so..." Wheeljack shrugs a little and after disabling Blurr's pain receptors starts removing the worst of the damaged parts. The ones were the burns can't just be cleaned up and welded shut again. "Oh," Blurr replies, taking it at face value. "Well yeah, I hope he gets better. He can be dangerous. More dangerous than most of us, I mean." He pauses for a beat. "Arcee would you mind doing me a favor?" he asks, looking a little bit sheepish. Arcee looks a bit somber after Wheeljack explains Quickswitch's current dilemma. Maybe this was going to be his new 'normal' around the Decagon? Fan-tastic. She stares at some point on the wall until Blurr gets her attention again. "Hm? What do you need?" she asks. "Yeah. But it's.. complicated due to his... unusual state of affairs," is the best way Wheeljack can put it, his flashers dulling a bit with the distracted tone of voice. He tosses a few parts that can be scrapped down and recycled later in a bin, and gets back to work. "Well it looks like you didn't break anything -too- important." "Of course I didn't! I'm not stupid." Blurr insists. Though Arcee might beg to differ on that in some situations, honestly. "I mean, thanks Wheeljack." He smiles at the engineer. "I um...well could you write the report about Vos for me? Just say Blast Off was sighted shopping for engex yesterday and I tried to arrest him but he got away." Sure, make someone else do your homework for you, Blurr. "I'm hoping that eventually he can gain some control of that on his own -- there's meditative practices that might help him out," Arcee mentions to Wheeljack. As Blurr asks her to file his report, she suddenly laughs. "Oh, come on, I wasn't even /there/! Why can't you do it?" Wheeljack laughs a bit as well. "Trying to pass off writing duties? You're as bad as Sideswipe sometimes!" He plugs back in some connections that were jostled loose and gets back to replacing armor. Good thing Blurr isn't one of those bulky guys with a lot of layers, or this could take all night in itself to finish. Blurr groans. "Well I -can-, I'm just not feeling that great right now!" Excuses, excuses. "I don't think meditating is going to help him. He needs a--psychiatrist." He sighs a little bit at the mention of that word. Blurr is certainly not as bulky, though he does tend to be a bit more delicate in places. "Well you can just write it when you're feeling better!" Arcee says with a cheerful smile. "How's that? I'll distract Prowl with some other business so he won't even bother you about it." She shrugs, then looks at Wheeljack. "That should work," she adds. Wheeljack pauses, raising an optic ridge a bit at the mention of Blast Off. "A Combaticon, huh? Guess the Cons are desperate enough to pull their own prisoners out of cold storage." Followed by a "pff" like sound as he gets back to work. "Prowl probably already knows. He's -almost- as bad as Red Alert sometimes. But you can maybe keep him from getting on Blurr's skidplate for a bit at least." "Yeah, and he was just -shopping- for engex in Vos." Blurr says with a slight snort. "Got me wondering why they don't have anything else better to do. Whoever's in charge now, if it's anyone at all, sure isn't doing a very good job of keeping people on track." He grumbles at Arcee's refusal to write the report for him. "Fiiine. Ugh. You're so stubborn." he chuckles. Wheeljack gives Blurr's a playful prod at the stubborn remark. "Takes one to know one!" Picks up another replacement piece and puts it into place. When he's actually focused Wheeljack is a fairly quick worker. "Their 'leaders' are probably too busy squabbling with each other to pay much attention to the riffraff... Hold still a moment Blurr." AHAHAHA riiiight. Blurr hold still. Which is probably while Wheeljack doesn't wait for a response before giving the plate a good solid thump into place. "Prowl /does/ seem to be one step ahead of things around here, doesn't he?" Arcee muses as Wheeljack continues to work on Blurr. "I used to wonder how he did it, and now that I know a little bit better, it's /still/ kind of stunning." She watches Wheeljack thump one of Blurr's panels back into place, and she winces slightly. "Hey, report-building builds character. Or something. At least that's the line I was fed." "Seriously?" Blurr gives Arcee an exasperated look. "Reports are character building. Pff, yeah, if you count boredom as character-building." he mutters. And the speedster is totally not good at holding still. He definitely twitches way too much. He has this ADD problem, you see. But Wheeljack is a pretty capable medic, when it comes down to it--nothing the engineer can't handle. "Who told you that, Ultra Magnus?" He laughs at Wheeljack's comment regarding Decepticon leadership. "Oh yeah. You're right. They're probably all fighting and stuff. So the fodder people just don't have anything to do but get away from it all. Ha!" Wheeljack takes a step back and dusts his hands off against each other. "Don't do anything too strenious for a few cycles so everything can recalibrate with your systems, but for the most part you oughta be good to go now." Followed by a roll of the optics. "Probably Ultra Magnus. Sounds like something he'd tell people to motivate them." "In fact, it was Magnus," Arcee laughs. She knows whatever good advice Wheeljack gives to Blurr is probably going to go completely unheeded the moment he tears out of here. She's still tickled that Blurr admits to reports being boring, but he's annoyed that she still won't write /his/ report for him. Yeah, right. You know Blurr can't avoid doing strenuous things. It's in his nature to push himself and be overactive. As soon as Wheeljack finishes, he bolts up off of the berth. "Thanks, Wheeljack! That's much better." he says with a grin. "Ha, I figured it was Magnus. Sounded just like him." Of course, he doesn't like doing boring things that involve sitting in one place for more than a few breems, really. Wheeljack can't really say much else, he rarely listens to bots telling him to wind down, either. Too much to do; too many experiments to continue. Or explosions to cause. For SCIENCE!... it all boils down into the same thing when it comes to Wheeljack. "And with that done, I should get back to my other tasks." |
