Profile[edit source]

Dutiful, humble, and eager to please, Siegebreaker could be considered ideal soldier material, especially when his combat skills are taken into account. He actually was a soldier at one point, but was assumed dead after being gunned down in battle shortly after the start of the Great War. He survived his grievous injuries, but was left lying in stasis beneath the rubble of a destroyed building. Many millenia later, he awoke to find himself buried beneath the very same ruins where he'd fallen, unable to remember any details of his life other than his name, his function, and his unwavering loyalty to the Autobots. His high-strung disposition and peculiar mannerisms are probably the result of years and years spent stumbling around half-dead and having to scavenge for sustenance, but the ordeals he endured have done little to dampen his sunny disposition and idealistic beliefs. It could be that he simply can't remember everything that's made him this way, but when are things ever that simple?

Background[edit source]

Siegebreaker was recently found shambling around an old battle site, half-scrapped and barely coherent, with no knowledge of how he got there or why he was there. It's possible that he's just a confused MTO who almost died in his first deployment.

His Full Story:
Siegebreaker was initially a bodyguard assigned to the service of Petrex's government officials. When the Great War started, he was pressed into military service for the Autobots. He was an extremely reluctant fighter and even sympathetic to the Decepticon cause, which eventually got him scooped up by the New Institute, where he underwent mnemosurgery to make him completely loyal and obedient to the Autobot cause.

Afterwards, he was sent back to the front lines. He quickly became a casualty of war and was left on the battlefield where he fell. Turns out, he wasn't entirely dead. He awoke thousands of years later, and spent a good long while scavenging before a researcher found him and led him back to society.

Skills & Abilities[edit source]

Weapon Master: Siegebreaker is built for battle. He has little "fangs" (upper canine teeth that are slightly more pronounced and pointy) and retractable talons. Some of the edges on his armor plating are sharp enough to pierce, if struck at the right angle with enough force. His subspace is loaded with various weapons and firearms. He specializes in melee combat, but he's also decent with a gun. His favorite piece in his collection is his glaive, which he prefers to carry in his hands instead of in subspace.

Vigilant: Siegebreaker keeps his sensory functions running at full power at all times. Sneaking up on him is a challenge.

Battle Focus: If the need arises, Siegebreaker can reroute power away from non-essential systems and use those resources to overclock combat-related functions. He can even shut down processes that he deems unimportant in a fight so that all of his focus and energy can be used for survival.

Weaknesses[edit source]

Weak-willed: He's emotionally fragile and easy to manipulate. He'll trip over himself to make other people happy and fears being alone or abandoned. The right words used correctly can leave him too shaken to function.

Hypersensitive: Too much sensory input can overwhelm and confuse him, and being on constant lookout for danger means that he sees danger everywhere. Sure, he's always prepared to drop everything and fight for his life, but it has the side effect of making him jumpy and easily startled. He tends to overreact to stimuli and sometimes perceives threats that don't actually exist.

Flawed Frame: His time buried under rubble has left him with lasting damage. His processor has a few glitches that make him scatterbrained and forgetful, and his memory banks were so corrupted that he can't remember anything from before he woke up. His systems are somewhat inefficient; they run hotter compared to other mechs and consume a lot of energy, made worse by his habit of forcing his sensory functions to run at maximum power around the clock. If he isn't careful with pacing himself, he can actually keel over from exhaustion in the middle of a fight. In what might be a potentially disastrous oversight, he lacks any form of additional heat resistance. Using his flamethrowers hurts him as much as it hurts his enemies.

Battle Fixation: Siegebreaker's battle focus can be harmful to him, depending on what he decides to shut off. For example, if he turns off his pain receptors, he'll have a harder time figuring out how damaged he is. He's usually disoriented and fatigued when he reverts his systems to normal.

Armory & Armaments[edit source]

Flamethrowers: The flamethrowers in his forearm plating and door-panel wings emit flames that can reach temperatures of 1,800 Kelvin (1,500C/2,800F) and higher, depending on how much power he uses to fuel them.

Molten Ammo: The plates over his hips are more than just armor - they're also storage compartments for Siegebreaker's favorite ammunition. These projectiles contain a small measure of scrap metal, kept at molten-hot temperatures by tiny heating elements in the ammo compartments. Upon impact, the ammunition is designed to shatter and spill its contents on the victim. Siegebreaker likes to target his enemies' joints with these in the hopes that the metal will impair motor functions as it cools and solidifies, though sometimes the intense heat alone is enough to accomplish that.

The Glaive: Siegebreaker's default weapon and his favorite piece of his collection. It's a versatile polearm, capable of being used for thrusting, chopping, and slashing. The back-curving hooks on the blade's reverse side are meant for catching in a foe's armor and ripping out components or plating when the weapon is withdrawn.

Salvaged Rifle: This thing looks like it was tossed in the junk heap several centuries ago. It's battered and rusty, but it still works. Mostly.

More to come...
