|Alt Mode||Heavy Transport|
Stasis looks like a thug, but she’s actually more of a thinker than a bruiser. Starting off as a low ranking prisoner transport, she proved her worth enough to climb up the ranks. Instead of thinking of all her charges as just ‘prisoners’ she sees them as individuals whose paths brought them into her care. With a mix of her initial security training, and her study of psychology on the side, she made a fairly formidable administrator. But as the war goes on, she thinks that she might be of more use closer to home than on some off-world prison, so she’s moved back to the heart of Iacon, to give what services she can provide.
Like everyone else forged on Cybertron, her form gave her function. As a heavy transport she could have been assigned to labour, but her high armor and size made it more likely for her to transport prisoners than simple goods. As such she was trained in jail security. She started as a low level guard and did well. But over time she noticed that not all prisoners were the same. Conversely, she started to notice that most of them fell into particular sets of patterns, based on why they were in jail and their general background. Filing away the information, she continued to observe them and frequently reassessed her knowledge of prisoner behavior.
Her ability to observe lead her to do well in her job, and slowly she started getting recognition for her work. Eventually she was moved to a higher security prison. She started to study psychology on her own time. While technically against a strict functionist position, she felt it would help her do her job better. She had no interest in bucking the system or rebelling; she was completely content in her function. All she wanted was to be able to do it to the best of her ability. She wanted to improve her usefulness, not her lot in life.
In time she made it to a nice position high up, but not at the top, in a fairly secure prison. It was here that she was able to make use of her observations and study of psychology. Now she was in a position to make bargains with prisoners, all under the permission of the warden of course. While her success rate wasn’t perfect, she used every failure as instruction for further interactions. For the most part she did more good than harm, and sometimes she was able to crack some very tough prisoners.
However, as the war began to really heat up, she felt she wasn’t doing her best. She wanted to get back to Cybertron proper. Things were running to chaos, and that was something she couldn’t abide. So she kept her optics open for opportunities to be transferred back to the home world.
