Cast of Characters: Prowl, Aegis, Hot Rod, First Aid

Aegis has posed:
Poor Harmonex. What was once a beautiful city is now a ruin. Unfortunately this isn't only the story of Harmonex, it's the story of at least one other city on Cybertron, and it's likely that more will join them. However it is the specific place that Aegis is in right now. For the moment she is poking around, carefully, to see if any of the buildings here are still stable enough to set up shop in, so to speak. It might not be the most orthodox use of her equipment, but she's at least attempting to use her scanners to check the buildings.

Hot Rod has posed:
And which red, sporty looking Cybertronian speeder is churning dust just around the corner from where Aegis is? Hot Rod, of course, he's the only vehicle who looks.. well like how he looks.

He protoforms when he draws nearer to her, looking around. He's here to help the survivors too, get them to a medical facility if they need it or pep talk them or... do whatever a Hot Rod does best (which is sometimes rebel rousing, but not always).

He notices Aegis and grows distracted. "Hey Aegis...! You, uh, find anything to match my frame type?" of course he brings that up now.

Prowl has posed:
Not many buildings were left 100% standing, but there are a few that are maybe 70% standing. In fact, it looks as if the Autobots have set up a makeshift field hospital in one nearby, where both civilian survivors and wounded soldiers are being brought for medical treatment. The ruins of the city are still somewhat of a warzone, with pockets of fighting found among the rubble as the Decepticons continue to try to push their way north toward Tarn.

The hospital looks quite overwhelmed, with the injured flowing in every breem. Too many complex injuries, and not enough experts on board, it would seem. Plenty of techs who can stabilize but not many medics who can actually repair internal damage, it would seem..

First Aid has posed:
First Aid is on his way to the make shift hospital as it is. He had heard about it and wanted to help them out. Once the field medic arrives in the ruins, he quickly transforms into root form. He glances around, optics taking in the sight of the chaos and he feels his spark sink. There were so many. Where were all the medics? r
First Aid hesitates, unsure of who to go to in order to offer his help. "Hello?" he says, "I'm here to help out, if it's needed."

Aegis has posed:
Aegis is sure the Autobots, in general, mean well. But as far as she's concerned, their badges blind them. An unfortunate thing. She stops for a few moments to watch the overwhelmed hospital. She could help. She should help. But she needs a space of her own too. And that's what she's looking for. At least, until Hot Rod interrupts her thoughts, and her searching. Instead of being annoyed, she smiles. "Not an exact match," she says softly, straightening her posture. "The best one is a bit bigger; it would have to be scaled down, and sculpted slightly." She frowns slightly. "I'm a medic, not an artist."

Hot Rod has posed:
Hot Rod doesn't respond. He quickly becomes distracted by some medics who are having a difficult time lifting a heavier mech onto a stretcher. Realizing this is a perfect opportunity to assert his masculinity, strength and nobility, he quickly hurries over to them and begins to assist them. Somewhere in there is a real desire to actually help the hurting mech, too.

"Well, slag.. nevermind that. I think we need to help these guys out first.."

Aegis has posed:
The medic femme laughs softly. "That sounds like a good idea," she agrees, moving to follow Hot Rod. Is she properly impressed by Hot Rod's noble masculinity? It's hard to tell so far, but she's not laughing at him at least.

Prowl has posed:
One of the medics already on-site, Triage, waves to First Aid. "Aid! Oh thank Primus you're here." He calls out. "Quick, get this guy stabilized." He says, sounding rushed as he points to a mech with his chassis torn open in several places and a missing lower leg.

First Aid has posed:
First Aid brightens when he sees a medic approach him. "Yes, of course!" he exclaims, following where Triage was. This war is awful. Tearing apart mecha like this... This is why First Aid hates war. He immediately gets to work, zoning in on the mech in front of him and trying to stop them from dying. "I can close up his chassis and stabilize him, but we'll have to get a replacement leg for him."

Hot Rod has posed:
Who knows, even if she wasn't, Hot Rod is impressed by his own masculinity. He grins at her when she laughs. He thinks she's impressed anyway.

He carefully lends a hand to the mechs needing help, lifting the injured bruiser onto the stretcher. "You guys got him?" he asks. When they nod, he looks around and notices the mech First Aid is working on. He comes over. "Damn.. do you think he'll need a transfusion? That's a hell of a lot of blood he just lost..."

Aegis has posed:
Able to catch First Aid's last words on the approach, Aegis adds her own two cents. "That, unfortunately, is part of the crisis. We can patch them up all we want, but parts are becoming scarcer..." she says solemnly, watching the other medic work for now. She knows what she's doing, but she doesn't want to get in the way. She glances at Hot Rod, expression thoughtful.

First Aid has posed:
First Aid looks up when Hot Rod speaks to him. "It's unclear right now. If I can get him stabilized, I think he'll be okay. But if he doesn't stabilize, he'll definitely need a transfusion." His hands worked fast, trying his best to stop the bleeding and close up his chassis and seal the wounds.

Prowl has posed:
"I know, I know." Triage answers, nodding quickly. "We don't have any spare parts here right now but just weld off the broken parts to keep him from leaking out before we can get him to Deltaran."

Hot Rod has posed:
"I can donate," Hot Rod says, "if he needs one," he says. He slides back the plating on his leg, almost ready if First Aid or Triage gives him the go ahead. His brows furrow with concern as he watches the patient they're tending to bleed out.

First Aid has posed:
First Aid nods. "We can do that once he's not like this. Legs can be fixed when he's not in a critical state." First Aid grimaces... There's energon up to his arms. Doctoring could be a messy business. "He might need one. I've closed up the wound and I'm working on sealing his chassis but he has lost way too much."

Prowl has posed:
"Alright. Thank you -so- much First Aid. We're really spread thin here." Triage nods, peering curiously at Hot Rod's paintjob for a moment, before opening a portable storage drawer and starting to dig through it in search of anesthetics, if there are even any left... "Oh, are you Hot Rod? One of the higher-ups told me to tell you, and actually First Aid you too, that the both of you have been signed up to take the final exam at the academy next rotation. You're on...Arcee's team?"

Hot Rod has posed:
Hot Rod's expression fluctuates from curious to happy to confused. He closes his leg paneling and glances over at First Aid. "Er.. hi?" He extends a hand towards First Aid. "Nice to meet you, I guess we're gonna be on the same team...?" Then he realizes that First Aid's hands are covered in blood. He awkwardly withdraws his hand. "Uh, well, I'm gonna head for Deltaran. If this guy needs a blood transfusion, I'll be waiting for you guys there. Ping me when you arrive." And he transforms and does a 180, heading back towards the Autobot capital.

First Aid has posed:
First Aid blinks at the abrupt exit and he looks at Triage. "Is he always like that?" First Aid does another reading on the mech. "Good news. He's starting to stabilize. He'll be fine with a lot of recovery and rest and staying out of battle zones."

Prowl has posed:
Triage shrugs. "No idea, never met him before, just heard about him." He nods. "Right, we'll get this guy onto the med-evac to Deltaran as quickly as we can."

He pauses before moving on to the next patient. "So you think you're ready for that test? Ready to be 'officially' a real soldier?"

First Aid has posed:
First Aid tenses a bit. There were still some issues he held with being a "real soldier." But he doesn't voice them. "I'm not sure. I'm at least ready to go out and do my part to help others."

Prowl has posed:
"Heh, well obviously someone somewhere up the ranks thinks you're ready for it." Triage replies with a chuckle, patting First Aid on the back. "Must be a reason for that. Good luck, mech."

First Aid has posed:
First Aid smiles, though Triage won't be able to see it behind his mask. "I appreciate that, and the heads up. I'll make sure I'm ready for it."
