Profile
Megatron has never produced another warrior quite as adaptable or quite as vicious as Overlord. No location is too remote and no terrain is too tough for this legendarily sadistic Duocon war machine. When Overlord takes the field he dominates the ground and sky with his vehicle mode: a powerful fighter/bomber that splits into a tank to steamroll a path ahead and a jet fighter for air superiority. He tends to approach battle as an auteur of carnage, with an eye toward creating a grand and gory spectacle. Rumor has it that he's also a trained and equipped mnemosurgeon but nobody has ever been brave enough to find out.
Background
A point one percenter spark found on the second moon of Cybertron 4.2 million years ago, Overlord was taken by the Functionist council and built into a war machine. Overlord was an avid fan of the gladitorial spectacles in the city of Kaon and a frequent participant, where the only combatant who could defeat him was the gladiator Megatron.
When the Decepticon revolt began Overlord joined him, seeking to be a part of what promised to be violence on a global scale. While a capable commander of troops, he was noted for unsound tactics and a gambler's flights of whimsy on the battlefield, often extending the length of battles simply because he was having so much fun.
Overlord remains an important Decepticon general - few others can inspire the rank and file to violence like he can and when mayhem is the name of the game he's second to none. The question is how long can Megatron keep control of him, and what happens when he decides he no longer wishes to follow orders?
Skills & Abilities
Mnemosurgeon: In the interest of becoming a more effective interrogator and combat psychologist, Overlord underwent (which is to say, kidnapped an experienced Mnemosurgeon and forced them to train him) Mnemosurgery training to enable him to access Cybertronian brain modules, read and manipulate memories. This also has the side-effect of making him able to spot mnemosurgical manipulation and techniques, and resist both. Normally Mnemosurgeons access the brain module through delicate needles that emerge from the fingers, but since Overlord is so large and strong, he had to have finger-drills installed. They are excruciating.
Torturer: A good strategist is half-psychologist and half-sadist. Overlord's good at hurting other Cybertronians. Actually he's good at hurting anything. He's got a nasty instinct on how to inflict pain and really drag it out without killing his victim, and unlike the more clinical mercies of say, Shockwave, he really enjoys what he does. He's an artist of misery.
Medic: Maybe not a gifted healer like Ratchet, but Overlord trained as a medic... ostensibly in order to understand how to take Cybertronians apart without killing them. Only someone truly foolish or truly desperate would turn to him as a any sort of chirugeon, though.
Command: Overlord treats battle like a gladitorial spectacle. The bigger, spectacular, and messier, the better. He's the decepticon general they call in when they need to put an exclamation point on it, when the enemy needs to be utterly demoralized or terrified till they leak coolant. Or, when the Decepticons are themselves demoralized and need to be whipped back into the fray, because quite frankly unless you're up against Grimlock or Omega Supreme or something, retreating and running into Overlord is far and away scarier than charging even the most formidable Autobot line.
Combat: Overlord was built for combat and isn't afraid of any Cybertronian alive, except for Megatron. He's heavily armed, incredibly durable, and faster than he looks, even though when you're built like he is, you don't NEED to be that fast. He's a walking war crime, the sort of thing that specifically gets mentioned in peace treaties under the "Banned from use" section because he's just that brutal.
Weaknesses
Jet and tank modes must remain in relatively close proximity to one another for optimal function, separating the two can disable Overlord until they are reunited.
Completely, spectacularly out of his processing unit.
